Acme Shoppers: Gather Up Your Coupons!

There is a great Catalina Deal starting on Friday 10/31/08

“Spend $30 and save $15 on your next shopping trip when you spend $30 or more on participating products in a single transaction using your Acme SuperCard. Offer valid 10/31-11/6. Coupon received at checkout is good on your next shopping order and must be redeemed prior to expiration date on coupon.”

The $15 catalina is reported to be in the form of 3 $5 Catalinas.

Why am I telling you this now?  Because many of the coupons circulating for these items expire ON 10/31/08 or 11/1/08.  To take maximum advantage of this deal, you will need to make sure to be at your Acme on Friday or Saturday!! I’ll be figuring out my deals by the expiration date and making a quick run to Acme on Friday to do the deal. That will give me the rest of the week to figure out more deals!

With any luck, there will be more coupons in this Sunday’s paper (the list isn’t out yet)

So that’s it!  This gives you plenty of time to work up some moneymakers or at least some “break evens”.  At first glance, it looks like the things to buy are the Betty Crocker Potatoes, Progresso Broths, Lipton Teas, and the Knorr/Lipton Side Dishes.  Those are the only ones that seem to really have the potential to turn in to moneymakers.  But even if it isn’t a moneymaker, you can get some really cheap groceries by rolling your Catalinas!

So if you have fallen behind on cliping/sorting your coupons…GET BUSY!

THANK YOU! My mail man didn’t bring me the ad so I am very excited to see the scoop!

  2. Mindi says:

He didn’t bring mine either…I went in to Acme this AM (since I was dealing with my bank across the street anyway) and asked for it! They often have it by Wednesday!

  3. Jennifer says:

Is it just a one time deal linked to your Acme card or can you get it multiple times? Also, if you spend $60 do you get two $15 discounts? It would be awesome if you could do multiple transactions and get multiple discounts. I’d have lots of free groceries then!

  4. Mindi says:

This is only linked to your SuperCard in that you need your SC in order to
    get any deals at Acme.

You can do it multiple times, which means that you can really clean up with
    free stuff.

Example (what I plan on doing)

    12 Progresso Broth: $20
    10 Betty Crocker Potatoes: $10
Use 6 $1.25 Progresso coupons (from VocalPoint) and 6 $1 Progresso Coupons
    (from the newspaper)
Use 10 Betty Crocker $.40 coupons (which will be doubled)
    Pay $8.50 OOP
    Get a $15 Catalina

    Transaction #2
    2 Gold Medal Flour $5
    16 Lipton Pasta & Sauce: $16
    10 Green Giant Veggies $10
Use 2 $1 Gold Medal coupons
Use 8 $.50/2 Lipton Pasta coupons (doubled)
Use 5 $.50/2 GG coupons (doubled)
Use $15 Catalina from transaction #1
    Pay $0.00 OOP
    Get another $15 Catalina

    and so on…..

Just make sure to split your transactions and you can roll your catalinas
until you run out of coupons! Once I am done rolling my catalinas, I
usually just use the last one to buy milk & produce!

    Hope this helps!
