Aldi and I got off to a rocky start. Then I gave them another shot a few months ago and I am completely in love! Their produce prices rock, I can use them for those weeks when I am just living from the stockpile and their everyday price on apple juice is right around my “stock up like crazy” price.
If you are unfamiliar with Aldi, they sell mostly non name-brand products. They do not accept coupons and you need to provide your own bags (although you can frequently find boxes and bags are available for purchase for a small fee). You will need a quarter in order to use the shopping cart, but your quarter will be returned to you provided you return the cart to the proper place. I have been using Aldi as a great resource for super-cheap produce and dairy, as well as many items for which there usually aren’t great coupons (maple syrup, potato chips at $.99/bag, etc)
