This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.
(sigh)...you have no idea how much I wish that I could have said to the people at Boudreaux Butt Paste "Oh - I can't review that! I have no need for diaper creams because my daughter is toilet trained!" Alas, my daughter seems to be determined to attend her Senior Prom in diapers (she'll be 4 years old in June).
I first heard about Boudreaux's Butt Paste about 18 months ago when there were a bunch of $1 coupons floating around. I decided to give it a try and it quickly became my favorite diaper cream. I had used another brand for my 2 sons and the Boudreaux seemed to work better on my daughter than the other brands (your results may vary). Aside from the fact that it seemed to work better, my daughter didn't walk around with that distinctive "diaper rash cream smell". I've been dealing with that smell since 2001 and believe me when I say that I was more than ready to be done with it!
The people at Boudreaux's Butt Paste sent me some of their new products to try and I have to say - I am still a fan!
The first thing they sent me was a tube of their traditional cream. This was/is a no-brainer for me to review....I actually haven't even opened that tube yet. I've used it, I like it, it works. So let's check out the other 2 versions of Butt Paste!
The next tube in the box? The new All Natural Boudreaux Butt Paste. This one goes on much easier, rubs in clear and is much easier to get off MY fingers after I am done with the diaper change. We've all been there - standing at the kitchen sink with a diaper wipe and a nail brush trying to get the diaper cream from out under our nails. While Elizabeth doesn't have a diaper rash right now, she does have a slight irritation on her hip from the diaper rubbing against her skin (probably because I can't buy a bigger size for her unless I buy DEPENDS!), and the All Natural Butt Paste cleared it right up.
On to the next (and last bottle): The Boudreaux Rash Protector. This is a spray bottle that sprays on clear and is probably MUCH easier to use on squirming infants.
For this, we did a very scientific experiment. Elizabeth has ALWAYS had a problem with getting a rash the first few times we go to the pool. The chlorine gives her a wicked rash that is very uncomfortable. And so, I had the following conversation:
Me: "Brad! I need you to take the kids to the YMCA for a swim!"
Brad: "Are you coming with us?"
Me: "No - I have to figure out the Extra Care Bucks deals for this week"
Brad: "Well - then why do I have to take the kids to the pool?"
Me: "I need you to spray this stuff on Elizabeth and keep her in the pool for at least an hour!"
Brad: "So you can get some work done?"
Me: "No - so I can see if this stuff stops her from getting her Pool Rash"
Brad: "So let me get this straight - you want ME to do YOUR research for you?"
Me: "yes - and stop and buy me a bottle of Chardonnay on the way home"
Brad: "Remember when we met, and you were going to be a French translator for the U.N. and we were going to spend half of each year in Paris?"
Me: "yes - and now I write about Boudreaux's Butt Paste....better make it 2 bottles of Chardonnay!"
The bottom line? There was no rash this time! Can I say with absolute certainty that it was because of the Rash Protector? No...I'm not a scientist, nor do I play one on TV. What I can say is that you could set your clock by my daughter's "Pool Rash" and she didn't get one this time. She gets an even worse rash when we go to the beach, so I am looking forward to seeing how it works there as well!
I bet you were wondering if I was ever going to get to the free sample, weren't you?
You can get a FREE sample of Boudreaux Butt Paste here. You do need to pay a small shipping & handling fee.
Even better...you can snag Boudreaux Butt Paste for about $4.50 at Target, Walmart, Babies R Us and Toys R Us. There was a $2 coupon in the 4/11/10 SmartSource insert. Use that coupon to get a full-size bottle/tube pretty cheap!
Even Better Better...it is reported that Toys R Us has Boudreaux's Butt Paste on sale for $2 this week in many areas. Use the $2 coupon to get it FREE!

OK... I just had to tell you that your conversation totally amused me! I cant help but giggle! (I will most likely come read it again and again over the next few days just for the giggle!) I babysit several little ones on different days and havent had to buy any diaper rash stuff for a while, the parents provide it. I do feel like I may need to pick up some of the spray to try now that I've read what you had to say about it. Its got to be easier and if there is no smell... thats even better!!

Well... my son will be 4 in June as well. The 20th to be exact. You know what he tells me? That he doesn't want to be a big boy. He wants to pee and poop in his diaper. The little kid tricks no longer work with him. Putting him in underwear instead of Pull-Ups doesn't work. Having him run around the house naked doesn't work. Maybe they could go to prom together and be the couple wearing diapers 😀

Had to let you know I laughed out loud during your story! My daughter has a different issue..her binky! She sings and has full conversations with it in her mouth at 3 1/2! She asks to bring it to dance and gymnastics! I love the idea of the rash protector I'm interested to try it on my daughters sensitive skin.
