As a reminder, the value of the coupons that you find in your newspaper may vary from the value in the provided link! In addition, all of the stores in my area double coupons up to $.99 (so a $.75 coupon has a value of $1.50). If the stores in your area don’t double or your paper is more expensive, you may not find the coupons as valuable as I do!

Check out Sunday Coupon Preview for the complete listing of coupons. There should be 2 inserts this week: a SmartSource and a Redplum

Coupons of Note

:: SmartSource Coupons

Betty Crocker $.40/1 Cookie Mix pouch 17.5oz+: goes on sale for $1.50 or less, making it just $0.70 after coupon

Green Giant $.60/3 frozen boxed vegetables: goes on sale for $1, making them just $0.60 each after doubled coupon

Hershey $1/1 Pot of Gold, Kisses or Reese’s miniatures brand gift boxes 6.7oz+: we should see some good sales on these in the next 2 weeks

:: RedPlum Coupons

Keebler Crackers 8 oz or larger $1.00/2: they don’t put out coupons that often

So how many copies of the paper would I buy?

If I were building a stockpile: 1-3
Now that I am in stockpile-maintenance mode: 1

It’s another boring week for coupons, but the deals at the grocery store are equally boring. Since stores and companies don’t NEED to entice you in to the stores at this time of year, the deals and coupons just won’t be that great until after January 1

Happy Thanksgiving…I am Thankful!

I just wanted to take a moment to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and hope that you are enjoying this day with friends and family.

I have tried to post a few deals that came up today and I know that I missed a bunch, but this is one of the few days of the year that I allow this site to be completely “back burner”.  Thanksgiving has always been an extra special holiday for my family and this is the first holiday since the untimely death of a beloved family member this past summer.  Family First!

One of the many things for which I am thankful is all of you.  Your emails,, comments and support over the past 3 years make this job fun.  I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

I will be posting a few more deals today in between gorging myself on turkey, turducken, ham and more carbs than anyone should ever eat…and then it is back to work once I get home later tonight.  The deals are going to be coming fast and furious.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Brut $1/1 product: the deodorant goes on sale for $2 or less

Chinet $.75/1 napkins: we should see some good deals on paper goods as we head in to “prime entertaining season”

Huggies coupons: they haven’t been putting out that many coupons lately

Smart Balance $1/1 milk: goes on sale for $2 or less

So how many copies of the paper would I buy?

If I were building a stockpile: 1-2
Now that I am in stockpile-maintenance mode: probably wouldn’t even buy the paper (unless I had children in diapers)

It’s been a long time since I was this un-thrilled with a coupon insert. BUT – please remember that we are in “prime” grocery-buying season. Stores and manufacturers know that you HAVE to buy groceries over the next 8 weeks due to all the holidays. They don’t need to entice you to buy stuff…they know you are going to buy, sale or no sale!
