Coupon Insert Preview: 10/4/09

coupon_cutting

As a reminder, the value of the coupons that you find in your newspaper may vary from the value in the provided link!  In addition, all of the stores in my area double coupons up to $.99 (so a $.75 coupon has a value of $1.50).   If the stores in your area don’t double or your paper is more expensive, you may not find the coupons as valuable as I do!

Check out Sunday Coupon Preview to see the coupons this week.  There should be 3 inserts this week:  2 SmartSource insert (one of which will be all General Mills products) and 1 RedPlum insert!

Don’t understand the terms or abbreviations that I use?  Be sure to read my Coupon Lingo post!

Coupons of Note

Betty Crocker Warm Delights $.50:  these go on sale 3 for $5, making them $.66 after doubling.  They are usually part of any General Mills catalina deal!

Fiber One pancake mix $.60:  goes on sale for about $2

Fiber One Multipacks $1:  they go on sale for $2

Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers $.40:  the sales on this aren’t like they used to be (like last fall when they were $1 all the time), but you can snag them 3 for $5, or $.86 after coupon doubling

Pillsbury Crescent Rolls $.50/2:  since this doesn’t expire until after Christmas and the crescent rolls will go on sale 10 for $10 several times before that (for holiday baking), you can use this to get $.50 crescent rolls

Pillsbury Refrigerated Grands! $.30/2:  these go on sale 10 for $10 quite often

Pillsbury Savorings Bread Bowl Bites $.55:  I think this is a new variety, not just a new flavor.  If so, we should see some good sales!

Progresso Broth $.50:  goes on sale 3 for $5 around this time of year

Totinos’s Crisp Crust Party Pizza $.50/3:  the single-serves should go on sale 10 for $10

Yoplait coupons:  the regular coupons, which are all pretty good!

4C Bread Crumbs FREE wyb 4 C Grated Cheese:  Free is good (as long as you are already buying the cheese!)

Activia $1:  goes on sale for $2

Aunt Jemima Frozen Pancakes $1/2:  they go on sale 10 for $10 (but more frequently 4 for $5 or 3 for $5)….but seriously – do you have any idea how easy/cheap it is to just make a quadruple batch of pancakes and freeze them yourself?

Campbell’s Condensed Tomato or Chicken Noodle Soups $.40/4:  we have been seeing some amazing sales on these 2 varieties lately

Dannon multipack coupons $1 each:  these go on sale for $2 all the time

Fleischmann’s Yeast, strip or jar $.40:  WooHoo!  This is the best sign that the “baking season” sales are on their way back!  you can pick up the 3-pack strips for $1-$1.39 (or $.20-$.59 after doubling).  Ok – I may get a little too excited about yeast coupons, but what can I say?  I love to bake!

Franks Redhot coupons $.50 & $1:  these are pretty much the same to me, since at my stores the $.50 will double to $1, but we should see some good sales with football season going on (and one of them doesnt expire until right around the SuperBowl….buffalo wing sauce is CHEAP then!)

Glade coupons:  not bad values and don’t forget that Glad is part of the $5 SC Johnson Rebate

Karo Syrup $.40:  another “Fall/Winter baking staple” and one for which there hasn’t been a coupon for quite some time!

Kleenex Facial Tissues $.50/3 (or $.50 off a bundle pack):  there has already been a Catalina deal on Kleenex at Safeway stores and now that we are heading in to “cold season”, we should see plenty more.  The square boxes will be on sale 10 for $10 all the time

Kotex Liners $1.50/2:  there is a size of these at Walmart that is only $.97

Lime-A-Way $1:  if you need this (if you have hard water), it’s been months since I have seen a coupon for this!

Nonni’s Biscotti $1/2:  not the greatest value – but I just love this stuff!

Oikos Greek Yogurt $1:  use this coupon to get it FREE at Whole Foods

Prego Italian Sauce $.75/3:  goes on sale 4 for $5 all the time, making it about $.85 each after doubling

Soft Scrub $.50:  I usually end up getting a $1/2 instead of a $.50.  If you get the $.50 and your store doubles, these go on sale for about 3 for $5 or 2 for $4 all the time

SoyJoy $2/10:  these have been going on sale for about $.50 each and have been part of a SCR deal at Rite Aid

Yoplait Frozen Smoothie $1:  I have no idea what this is, but I REALLY want to know.  Yu-um!

Ziploc Brand Vacuum Bag Starter Kit FREE wyb any Ziploc Brand Vacuum Bag refills:  getting one of the items in the $5 SC Johnson Rebate for free isn’t bad!

Target Coupons for Snickers, Milky Way or 3 Musketeers:  these can be stacked with manufacturers coupons for even better savings.  They don’t expire until Halloween, so hold on to them for a good sale or Gift Card deal at Target

Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage $1/2:  hold on to this for a BOGO sale

Gillette Coupons:  with coupons like these and ECB/SCR/RR deals at CVS/Rite Aid/Walgreens, there is simply no reason to ever pay for razors again!

Pepcid, Tylenol, Sudafed coupons:  since we are getting in to cold season, we should see some good freebie ECB/SCR/RR deals at CVS/Rite Aid/Walgreens

All 32-load $1:  this goes on sale BOGO and for $3.99 all the time

Snuggle Fabric Softener $3:  WOW!  with a good sale, this should just make it a freebie!

Dove Coupons:  these are often part of an ECB/SCR/RR deals at CVS/Rite Aid/Walgreens.  Besides, I was recently reminded of this video, which makes me want to give Dove and the people at Dove a HUGE standing ovation!

Southern Living Magazine $1:  although it’s about $5/copy and you can subscribe for a whole year for only $11 (after instant savings), if you are just interested in a single-copy, the November & December issues of Southern Living are FABULOUS each year!

Cheez-It Snack Crackers $1.50/2:  I’m not sure why, but these seem to be on sale everywhere lately (and if you are a local reader, they are on sale at Acme for only $1.88/box this weekend)

Kellogg’s Eggo Frozen Product $.55:  these go on sale 4 for $5, but more frequently 3 for $5

So how many copies of the paper would I buy?

If I were building a stockpile:  6-9

Now that I am in stockpile-maintenance mode:  5-8

This is just a really good weekend for coupons and there are a few coupons that we haven’t seen in a long time (there I go again…getting excited about yeast coupons!).  If you use Snuggle, that coupon alone covers the cost of the paper!
