This looks to be a very boring week for coupons!
As a reminder: the values of the coupons in the provided link are not “set in stone” and many will change from area to area. Additionally, when I list the number of papers that I will be buying, I take in to consideration that I am able to get it at the dollar store and only pay $1 for each copy of the paper. If your paper is more expensive, you may not find the coupons of the same value as I do.
Heres the link to the coupons this week.
Coupons of note
Cheerios Snack Mix: $.50 (this goes on sale fairly cheap and is usually part of a Catalina deal)
Duncan Hines Carrot Cake: $1 (cake mixes have been going on sale here everywhere for $1 or under. Carrot Cake mix can be substituted for Spice Cake mix in my favorite pumpkin muffin recipe)
Hamburger, Tuna or Chicken Helpers: $.75/3 (this goes on sale 10 for $10 all the time and is often part of Catalina Deals which makes it a nice one after doubling- although the last few times it was listed, my area ended up getting a $1/3 which doesn’t double)
Hershey’s Chocolate Bar: B1G1 (who doesn’t like free chocolate bars?)
Hershey’s Miniatures, Kisses or Special Dark Nuggets: $1 (either pair it with a BOGO sale or hold on to it until the day after Christmas when red-wrapped Hershey Kisses go 50-75% off to score some cheap chocolate)
Kotex Pads: $1 (there is a size at WalMart that is only about $1-$1.25. Even if you don’t use pads or Kotex, this makes a great freebie/cheapie to add to your charitable donations)
Pillsbury Crescent Dinner Rolls: $.25 (hold on to these until you can hit a 10 for $10 sale…which should be more common as we appraoach holiday entertaining season)
Reynolds Parchment Paper: $1 (this is one of the few times a year that there are coupons for this AND it goes on sale. If you are a baker then you know how wonderful parchment paper is. If you have never tried it – try making cookies on parchment paper instead of a plain cookie sheet…you’ll never go back!)
Totinos Rolls Snacks: $.35 (we just HAVE to be due for another 10 for $10 sale on these at Acme…it’s been so long! When that happens it means they are $.30 each!)
Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk: $.55 (it says “Do Not Double” [or DND], but if it is coded with a “5″ registers will automatically double it. Combined with the holiday baking sales that are starting now, it makes it pretty cheap!)
JIf Peanut Butter: $.35 (any peanut butter coupon that is under $1 appeals to me since it will double. Wait until Jif puts the smaller jars on sale 3 for $5 to get $.96 peanut butter after doubling)
Kelloggs cereal coupons: $1/2 for All-Bran and $1 for select others: Kelloggs doesn’t put out many cereal coupons.
Kelloggs Pop Tarts: $.55 (these go on sale all the time 3 for $5 which makes them $.56 each after doubling)
Pillsbury Brownie Mix or Frosting: $.75/2 (once again – it says DND but if it is coded with a “5″ and you can pair it with a 10 for $10 sale, you can get $.25 brownie mix)
Smuckers Jam, Jelly or Preserves: $.25 (there haven’t been a whole lot of jelly coupons recently that weren’t for that vile sugar-free stuff)
Tylenol (several different ones): $1 (CVS likes to make Tylenol a freebie after ECBs…this turns it in to a moneymaker)
How many papers would I buy?
If I were building a stockpile: 3-4
Now that I am in stockpile maintenance mode: 1-3
(although truthfully? I’ll grab 2 newspapers this morning and check out the values of the coupons as soon as I get in my car (including the Parade magazine which often has good ones). If they are as listed in my area, I might bump it up to 4-5 copies. If more than a few of the coupons are not as good as listed, I’ll likely just stick with the two)

My coupons had slightly different values, like the Smuckers was $1 off 3 and the Scotties tissue was $1 off 5, not 3. Although if you do a lot of baking during the holidays there are good coupons for that in here…
