This is the last scheduled coupon insert of the year and it is a good one!
I’m bummed because I will be in Connecticut this weekend and unable to get my newspapers for $1 (I actually went to the Dollar Tree website to see if there was a store near where we are staying….I seriously need to get a life!) Ah well – the last time we stayed at that hotel there were about 5 copies of the Sunday paper laying in the hotel lobby in pieces. Maybe I can snag a bunch of inserts from those complimentary “lobby copies” to offset having to pay full price for newspapers.
Anyway…..
Here’s a link to the coupons this week
Coupons of Note
Airwick Warmer FREE (up to $3.19) wyb any refill: I’m waiting for an Airwick Catalina Deal!
Betty Crocker Cookie Mix: $.40 (these can be found on sale for anywhere from $1 to $1.66 and are usually part of a Catalina Deal)
Betty Crocker Frosting: $.50 (these have been going on & off sale at 10 for $10, which makes them free after doubling)
Betty Crocker Box Muffin Mix: $.40 (can usually be found at 3 for $5 on sale and is also often part of a Catalina deal)
Betty Crocker Potatoes: $.35 (another one that goes 10 for $10 all the time, making the $.30 after doubling)
Campbell’s Coupons: they are all “off 2″ or “off 4″, but you can combine them with a BOGO sale to maximize your savings after doubling.
Daisy Sour Cream: $.50 (since there is no size restriction, you can use this to get the 8 oz size for free when it goes on sale 10 for $10, as it often does)
Heluva Good Dip or Cheese: $.50 (quite possibly the best French Onion Dip ever made and it goes BOGO all the time)
Pillsbury Coupons: the standard ones, but if you hit a good sale on the refigerated cookie doughs, you can easily freeze them!
Progresso Broth: $1 (this goes on & off sale at $2 each. The last time I had a bunch of $1 Progresso coupons, I got paid $2 to take $175 worth of groceries. The Progresso coupons were a big part of that deal and I expect to see the return of similar GM Catalina deals after the first of the year)
Russell Stover & Whitmans Coupons: many stores will start offering these BOGO soon, as people pick them up for last-minute hostess gifts or stocking stuffers.
Keebler Crackers: $1/2 (they don’t put out coupons very often, so these are always a good thing)
Variety of Kellogg’s coupons: it looks like many stores are running Kellogg’s deals this week (instant savings, drastically reduced prices, etc)
Duracell Copper Top Batteries: $.75 (we have about another 2 weeks of stores offering great deals on Batteries)
Pantene: $2 (I just hope it isn’t one of those that turns in to an “off 2″ when I get my paper). CVS has a deal with the 25oz size that starts on Sunday (it is buy $5.99, get $2 ECBs) and this will come in handy
Tide: $1 either use this to simply buy Tide, or Target has a single-use packet in the travel-size section that is $1
So how many copies of the paper would I buy?
If I were building a Stockpile: 8-12
Now that I am in stockpile-maintenance mode: 6-8
(the reason it is so high? Because there will be no more coupons out until after the first of the year….and because of the good General MIlls coupons)

Mindi,
First let me thank you for your blog and the time you put into it! I love that you post Giant deals, I never go shopping until I check your blog first… So I was reading your blog today when I read that you’ll be in Ct this weekend, are you originally from there? I assumed you probually live in my area (PA) now (because you list our local stores), it would be too good to be true if you were from CT too! Just curious! Hope you have a great trip! I always miss New England at Christmastime.
Take care!
Donna Ss last blog post..
Hey Donna!
I grew up in Haverford, but my husband grew up in Norwalk, Connecticut and his brother & sister live in Danbury, CT and Springfield, MA now. We only get up here a few times a year and his parents came up from GA (where they retired) and we are having an early Christmas!
And the best part….THEY OPENED A DOLLAR TREE! I can go to the store in the AM and get my papers! I even stopped in and asked if they usually sell out of papers (as my store does if you aren’t there by noon) and the manager looked at me like I was crazy. Guess they don’t have as many psychotic couponers as we do at home.
Oh – and it’s FREEZING here! I mean COLDCOLDCOLDCOLD!
thanks for your kind words Donna….I’m happy that my website helps you save some money! I’ll be working on the Giant post later today (as well as a few others), so I should be able to get Giant up by tomorrow afternoon!

Hi there!
Just wanted you to know that most hotels contract with the newspaper to just give them the newspaper, and no ads–so… don’t be surprised if you don’t find any coupons around.
I think it has been a while since I have posted. I am in NC and find your website very helpful even though we don’t have the same grocery stores. Thanks for all your hard work. I really appreciate it. I always check your website to see how many coupon inserts I need to buy! Also I like your articles about setting up a blog. I just have a family blog but thinking about another blog! We will see.
Thank you!
