Coupon Insert Preview: 3/14/10

As a reminder, the value of the coupons that you find in your newspaper may vary from the value in the provided link! In addition, all of the stores in my area double coupons up to $.99 (so a $.75 coupon has a value of $1.50). If the stores in your area don’t double or your paper is more expensive, you may not find the coupons as valuable as I do!

Check out Sunday Coupon Preview for the complete listing of coupons. There should be 2 inserts this week: a SmartSource and a Redplum.

Don’t understand the terms or abbreviations that I use? Be sure to read my Coupon Lingo post!

Coupons of Note

Classico Pasta Sauce  + Fresh Beef Save $1.50 wyb 2 Classico and Beef: Classico tends to be one of the more expensive sauces with few coupons.  If you are buying beef anyway – it’s better than nothing!

ConAgra products $1 off 4:  a few of the included products go on sale for $1 or less

Cuties $1 off a 5lb box and $.55 off a 3 lb box:  produce coupons are always nice!

Eight O’Clock Coffee $0.75/1:  goes on sale BOGO all the time or as low as $3.99.  After doubling, you can get some cheap coffee!

Hershey’s, Reeses or Cadbury Candy $2/1:  we have been seeing great deals at the drug stores lately and with Easter just around the corner, we should see even more!

Hidden Valley Farmhouse Originals $2/1:  this is a VERY high-value coupon for salad dressing.  Anyone know the price of this stuff (I haven’t seen it yet)

Lays Potato Chips $1/1: you should be able to use this to get chips for under $1

Land O’Lakes coupons (butter, eggs, etc):  it’s been a while since they have put out good coupons!

New York Texas Toast $0.50/1:  goes on sale for about $2, making it $1 after doubling

Post Cereal $1/2:  Post cereal deals are everywhere now…

Reeses Dark Peanut Butter Cups $0.55/1: I am pretty sure that this is the single-serve size.  Will come in handy at the drug stores during a BOGO sale or might get you the candy for free after doubling at the grocery store.

V8 Fusion $0.75/1:  the lowest I ever see this is $2.50-$3

Ball Park Coupons $0.75/1 and $0.75/2:  hold on to them for a BOGO sale.  We are seeing more and more sales on hot dogs now that Spring is coming!

Domino Sugar coupons:  they don’t come out often, so grab them while you can!

Johnson & Johnson Red Cross Product $1/1:  use it to get a free mini first-aid kit at Target

Super Pretzel Soft Pretzels $.50/1:  go on sale for as low as $1.67-$2

Trop50 $1/1:  goes on sale for anywhere from $2-$3

Wisk $1/1:  goes on sale for $3.99 or less

So how many copies of the paper would I buy?

If I were building a stockpile: 2-3

Now that I am in stockpile-maintenance mode: 1-3

It’s another pretty boring week for coupons!

Mindi — do you know if Red Plum is no longer distributing their inserts in the area? I haven’t had one in my paper in weeks. I get the Philadelphia Inquirer and usually buy it in either Doylestown or Lansdale.

  2. Melissa says:

The Inquirer did stop getting the Red Plums. The Doylestown Intelligencer still has it though.

Thanks, Melissa. I actually went through all the papers at Wawa yesterday and found the RP in the Intellingencer. Guess I’m switching my newspaper again. LOL
