A purchase = an item
A transaction = all of the items that you are purchasing.

What they mean by “one per purchase” is that if you are buying 1 bottle of Tide (for example), you can’t use 2 manufacturers coupons for that 1 bottle!

As for finding better inserts: I can really only help you with which paper to buy if you live in the Philadelphia area, in which case the Inquirer usually has the best inserts.

If you can’t find better inserts in any papers in your area, there is always the option of buying inserts or just specific coupons from services like Coupon Clippers

ALSO, check the backs of the sections in the Philly Inquirer. There is a 2.00/1 Wisk product, 32 oz or larger on the back of the international section (I think).

And, a Genaurdi’s coupon for Claritin allergy 10 ct. or 4 oz liquid 7.99, good through 4/12. This is on the back of the Arts & Entertainment section. They are also advertising “fill your allergy prescription, and get a 10% off coupon good on your next grocery purchse”. This is also for Genaurdi’s only.

Now, my local Dollar Tree doesn’t sell the paper inside the store. I was told that they are in those machines outside the store. So, I’m guessing they won’t be $1 each.

I’ve actually talked to the Phila Inquirer people and they said that there might sometimes be differences between stores and home delivery editions, but not store to store in the same area…and the “inside section” (classifieds, inserts, Lifestyle, opinion sections, etc) are finished a day or two before the papers come out and should be uniform within an area!

I did that a couple of weeks ago at a Wawa (bought Sunday paper on Saturday evening) and it was missing an insert – and I checked multiple papers to make sure! The next day I went back and got the Sunday paper on Sunday and the insert was there!

Now I am nervous!
