So here’s a fun quick question….
Before we had Coupon, I never realized that I said “both ways”.
But we call my puppy Coupon, not Qu-pon.
Neither one is wrong…but which one do you say?

I grew up saying Qu-pon, but my husband made fun of me enough, so now I mostly say coupon. It’s still more fun to say qu-pon.
I don’t understand the difference?
I also think I said “Q-pon” as a child, but now it feels funny saying it that way. I say “coo-pon.”
@Angela, you can here both pronunciations if you go to m-w.com and look up the definition!
I totally meant “hear” not “here” — I do know the difference!
Definitely coo-pon. It comes from a French word “couper,” meaning “to cut.”
I have always said “coo-pon” but I know my grandmother says “q-pon”
Weeeellll, according to my family, I say it both ways!! Don’t know why either.
Definitely Q all the way!
We say Q-pon in our house
I guess I like to say coup-on. I never really thought about it like that.
Qu-pon! for sure.
definitely the Q word!
Hehe, my grammy says q-pin (you ahve to say it fast!)!
I say koo-pon. Q-pon seems affected to me.

I prefer to call it money
I used to say Qu-pon, but somewhere along the line I switched over to COO-pon, and now when I hear someone say KEW-pon I think it sounds funny!!!! Go figure!!
I’m definitely in the coop-on camp

I say “coupon”, and I’m pretty sure I twitch a little when someone around me says “q-pon.” annon has the best pronunciation in my book.
Its definately Qu-pon! I think is a regional thing, but in the south we’d look at ya kinda funny if we heard you say coo-pon!
