Couponizer: Review and Giveaway!

The Couponizer has been around for some time now.  It has been featured on QVC and has a very loyal following among its users.  I have been hearing great things about it for some time now and was thrilled when Amy from The Couponizer offered me a chance to review it as well as another to give away!

Many of you know that I use the binder system for my coupons.  For those of you who are new to using coupons (or don’t buy 8 copies of the paper each week, or simply aren’t yet up to the level of “psychotic couponing“), The Couponizer is the perfect solution.  It keeps everything organized and contained with plenty of pockets for coupons.  One feature that I like best (that I don’t even have in my binder) is a separate section just for coupons that are due to expire soon!

The Couponizer also does more than just file your grocery and drug store coupons.  There is a separate section (called “My Other Savings”) that has pockets for Entertainment & Travel, Fast Food & Restaurant, Services, and even your Rewards (this is where I put Catalinas, ECBs, RRs, etc).  It also has separate plastic pockets to hold your store loyalty cards as well as a separate pocket for your receipts (perfect to keep them filed for returns or rebates).

Because I wasn’t ready to completely give up my coupon binder, I ended up giving the Couponizer that was sent to me to a friend of mine after I was finished playing with it.  This is a friend who had fallen off the “couponing bandwagon” several months ago.  Within a week, she was back in the swing of things and excited about using coupons again.  Being organized always makes everything so much easier!

And now Amy at The Couponizer has given me another Couponizer to give away!

To enter to win (each counts as a separate entry, so leave a separate comment!)

1. Leave a comment letting me know how you currently organize your coupons and how you hope that the Couponizer will help you.

Good luck!

Right now, I usually just stick them in an old envelope with a rubber band on it. Funny how they don’t get used that often. If I had the fancy Couponizer, I would be on it!!!

  4. Jaime S. says:

I don’t really organize them right now, I need help! LOL

  5. Michelle Stiegler says:

I am new to couponing due to being unemployed and needing all the help I can get! Currently I am placing them in an overstuffed envelope which is emptying out into my bottomless pit of a purse. I desperately need the help of the Couponizer!

  6. Meredith Carter says:

I currently use the couponizer but mine is old and starting to fall apart. It has helped me keep on top things better then any other system I have use. I would love a new one that isn’t in as loved condition as mine is

I currently organize coupons in a plain white envelope with note cards to separate major categories. I would love something more sturdy and user friendly.

  9. Lisa Thomas says:

I could definitely use this because right now I keep all my coupons in a tub in my car. Not very organized……

I currently use a little photo file folder thing to hold my coupons, it has a handle on it, so it is easy to carrry to the store. I have heard so much good about the The Coupnizer, that I so want one. I think it will help me be more organized.

  12. Ellen C. says:

I currently seperate my coupons into labeled envelopes. Thanks for the chance.

  13. amanda says:

I just use a coupon folder from the dollar store. I also use a seperate coupon folder for my nonfood items. Thus, I have two fat coupon folders in my purse. Nice! Would love to have a better/easier system. Thanks!

  14. wendy says:

I have really been inspired to get couponing by all of the bloggers!!! I have saved soo much $ in the past three months my hubby is inpressed—–but I haven’t found a good organizational way yet. Right now I’m trying to use three little organizers which is driving me crazy. Thanks for all your hard work—it has mad a big difference in my life!

  15. Wendy says:

I use envelopes by category. Lots to carry.

  16. Diane R. says:

Right now I just cut out the coupons I think I will use and stick them in an old checkbook cover. It’s really a pain because to find one coupon, I have to go thru the whole pile!

  17. Rebecca says:

I have a small coupon organizer to hold all of my coupons, it has 4 dividers so it’s difficult to organize. I put really good coupons (like $3 off diapers) in my wallet so I don’t forget them if I come across a good deal. The couponizer would help tremendously since my husband also is a coupon cutting fiend and we could work together to organize our coupons. Thanks!

  19. Sarah says:

I have taken those envelopes that come in mail when you’re supposed to send something back (like the postage paid envelopes) and put coupons into different ones by what isle/ section they are in, in the grocery store. It’s pretty pathetic looking, but it’s a low-cost way of doing the trick… I would love to have something to better organize them though, now that I’m getting into couponing more, it’s becoming more like chaos…

  20. MindyG says:

my coupons are a hot mess in a little organizer with a pony tail holder keeping it together. Could really use something more organized.

Using two accordian style small organizers and a bunch of envelopes. The Couponizer would help get everything into one place and make it faster to locate a specific item as well.

  24. Jen says:

I have a plastic box I bought at Wal-Mart and I use index card dividers for my categories. A Couponizer would hopefully help me not have such a mess in my little box!

  25. Michelle says:

Right now I have a binder and have all the qs in it, would love help getting more organized

  26. Amy says:

I am using a small accordian file, but I am quickly outgrowing it, and it lacks organization. I hope to get super organized so all the coupons get some love!

I currently have my coupons in a photo box but I find it doesn’t work well for me….I need to find a new system.

  31. Lindsay Dreher says:

I currently use two check organizers, each with 12 pockets. In each organizer, 6 pockets (every other one) are for new/longlasting coupons, and behind each category is a pocket for coupons that are expiring this month.

Coupons that I’m using this week go in the very front (before the first pocket).
It would be nice to have all the coupons in one holder, although I wish the couponizer website had a better explanation of how it worked.

  32. Danyel Lieberman says:

This organizer looks amazing…currently I use a plastic organizer that is ok but not the best!!!!
    Thanks!

Right now, I keep all my coupons in a binder but it is bulky and hard to carry around, so I usually stick a small notebook in my purse with coupons paperclipped into it with each deal written out.

  35. Kirsten says:

My current method of organizing coupons is quite sad. I carry a large handful of coupons around at the store with a very large and rusty paperclip that has seen better days. I am constantly dropping my coupons and picking them up. The looks I get at the store from other shoppers is not good. And then at the checkout. Face it! I need a better system. I need to be better Organized. I don’t want to be the coupon lady with the rusty old paperclip and coupons!

I currently use an old photo album. It works for now, but we are on a really tight budget. We have two babies still in diapers, one on formula, and my sister just moved in. I save money wherever I can and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to make it easier for me in any way possible. I love your post, since they are local for me in Lansdale, and more importantly… they are FREE. Thanks so much, and keep up the good work!

  40. Minu says:

I love coupons and finding great deals. I am so glad I came to your site… I have been looking for a site that posted local deals (I live near NE Phila). I am in a need of a coupon organizer. I lost (misplaced) my last organizer and am looking for somewhere to store all my coupons that sitting in a ziplock in my purse. I even asked Santa for a coupon Organizer, but I guess he couldn’t find one :( .
This morning, I was telling my husband I really need to invest in a good organizer. I spend way too much time looking through the stack of coupons…and sometimes even miss a great deal. This great giveaway would be great help.
    Thanks.

  41. Tara R says:

I am a full time student, and my husband will also be going back to school full time starting Monday, so we are both looking at little to no income, while still having to pay bills. This couponizer would be so helpful as I begin using coupons and maximizing grocery savings for the first time. Thank you so much for all the help you have given me so far, I’v already saved $20 dollars this week!

I want one of these sooo bad, but I just can’t bring myself to buy one with a coupon. I currently do the binder system, but I want the couponizer to put the coupons I am planning to use on the multiple trips I make to the grocery / drug store each week.
