CVS: 6/7 to 6/13/09: HOT Pampers deal!

cvs1

If you need to buy diapers, the best deal of the week isn’t even in the flyer (probably because they know that every store in the country would be sold out of Pampers by 9:05am)

Pampers Jumbo Packs are on sale for $8.99 this week (limit 3), which is already a pretty decent price (and there is a $1 coupon in the 6/7 P&G insert as well as some $1.50 & $2 coupons that may still be floating around).

BUT, according the to CVS website,  you will get $5 ECBs wyb 1 package!  The website doesn’t say what the limit is on the number of times you can get the $5 ECBs and I am going to assume that it is just once.  HOWEVER, since you are limited to 3 packs (and the $8.99 IS a good price), there is a slim chance that they might let you get the ECBs 3 times!  Here is what I am going to try at about noon today (and if anyone tries this before I have a chance to report back, please let us know in the comments)

Transaction #1:  Buy Pampers using $1 coupon.  Pay $7.99 and get $5 ECBs back

Transaction #2:  Buy Pampers using another $1 coupon and the $5 ECBs from Transaction #1.  Pay $2.99 and hopefully get $5 ECBs back

and if transaction #2 works, I’ll do it a 3rd time!

Since the deal is not in the ad, I recommend printing out this page and taking it with you to the store  just in case your ECBs don’t print…that way you can show the manager the deal and they should be able to take care of you!

EDITED TO ADD:  PRINT OUT THE PAGE and take it with you.  My ECBs didn’t print and like an idiot, I didn’t take the page with me!  I had to run home, print it out and go back to the store!  Aaargh!

Ok – so on to the ad….

I went to energizer website and printed (2) $1off coupons for the batteries. They have the EB for $5 off $15. I need batteries and it seems to be a good deal. I hate dollar store batteries they don’t last. I am waiting for rechargeables to go on sale again.

  2. Danielle Spence says:

my store manager overrided for 3 $5 off EBS

  3. Kristina says:

The ECBs didn’t print out for me after purchasing the diapers. :(

  4. Danielle Spence says:

mine didn’t either, but the manager did an override. Go back and get the EB.

  5. Jaime says:

The $5 ECB did not automatically print out for the Pampers but the store manager was able to do an override for me

  6. Nicole says:

I just got back from CVS because I, too, could not pass up some cheap Pampers. The ECB’s didn’t print. I asked the manager about doing an override and just printing the ECB’s. She stated that without an event number it actually goes against the store because corporate thinks that they are giving “free” ECB’s to friend and family, etc. After much review of my printout from the website and a lengthy attempt to call corporate, the manager actually gave me a cash refund of $15.00! Much better than ECB’s anyday. Thanks, Mindi, for the info so I could go in prepared!

I just went back to the CVS website. Looks like they took down the Pampers ECB ad!

  8. leila says:

There was no ECB for the diapers, but my first transaction was 2 bottles of the sunscreen that was on sale, and at the end of the receipt, it printed out $10 off a $30 purchase coupon –which I was then able to use on the diapers I was buying. I am going back to do it again and see if it prints again!

  9. Liberty says:

I was up all night reading your site after a co-worker recommended it. When I saw the deal for Pampers, I was up all night thinking of a battle plan. I printed your blog out, the coupon and went in guns blazing!
When the ECBs didn’t print out, I spoke to the manager. She said that was a mis-print and Corp. corrected it. She would not be able to honor it without me having the coupon that stated $5 ECB. Well, I whipped out the coupon with your printed blog on top and her eyes saw the great headline MOMS NEED TO KNOW and INSTANTLY rolled her eyes.
I gave a huge laugh and she looks at the cashier and says “give her all 3″.
SOOOOOOOO… I bought 3 packs at $8.99 ea and had $2 off with coupons from Pampers. My reciept printed out $5 off for the next 3 days only. I took the 3 ECBs she force printed, and the one my reciept included, went to another CVS, bought 3 more at $8.99 plus I bought a pack of Little Swimmers for $8.99 but had $1.50 off that.

In total, all of it was $62.93 but with all the coupons and using all 4 ECBs, I spent $39.43 on 232 diapers and 12 swimming diapers, saving a total of $23.50!! Nicely done!
Thank you so much for the blog, from your new #1 fan!!
