I have been a little behind because I have been working on a HUGE project with 13 other bloggers.
On June 10th, 14 bloggers have combined forces to bring you the Dads Rock Giveaway Bash! Some of us will have the same giveaways (thanks to “Bash-wide sponsors”…giving you multiple chances to win), but many of us will have our own blog-specific giveaways.
We’ll be celebrating dad in a huge way with lots and lots of prizes! I can’t even count the $1000s in prizes that we will be giving away! We will each host hourly prizes across all blogs, including one fantastic grand prize!

Oh my gosh! I would love to win one of those prizes, it is my husbands first father’s day this year. We don’t have a budget for presents, since we are working away at our debt snowball. I’ll make his favorite breakfast of chipped beef on toast but that is all I have planned. In my secret heart I would like to give him a Stave puzzle but that is waaaaaaaaaaaay out of our budget. Or in fact any budget we will have for years.
So how is this going to work exactly? People can enter through the weekend and then you’ll do drawings on Monday for everything? This whole thing is awesome!! I’m going to try to follow as many as I can, but I can see this getting crazy!!
Stephanie: it will work like any other giveaway on my site. The post will go up and contain my review of the item. At the end of the post, you will see multiple ways that you can enter to win! On Monday night (6/14/10) just before midnight (officially 11:59pm) I will close comments on all the posts and use a randomizer to pick the winners and notify them by email.

It’s my husband’s 3rd father’s day and we are strapped for cash these days w/ only one income. So we decided no gifts this year. Although…this Ultimate backyard Makeover” would be a fantastic gift! We just spent over $1,000 to get our sewer pipe fixed. We had to get a whole new one from the front of the house to the main (village) sewer pipe. My husband is very proud of how he keeps is lawn. He and a neighbor compete every year for the best looking lawn in the neighborhood. A credit to him…he has done a fantastic job in growing his own grass in the front yard to cover our horseshoe shaped damaged lawn. Now, I’d love to get him this “Ultimate Backyard Makeover” to express how much I appreciate what he has done and to allow him some financial stress relief to complete the job in the back! So looking forward to my husbands first Father’s Day since being declared cancer-free!! Last year he was in the middle of chemo at Father’s Day and could hardly enjoy it at all. I SOOO wanted to get him an ereader but the mountain of medical bills must come first!! Not to mention that our first born was just accepted into grad school – YEAH more debt!!! I would so love to give him what he deserves as he is a wonderful firefighting father to our 4 kids from age 24 all the way down to 6! He is definitely my HERO!!
Happy Father’s Day to all of the father’s! (especially my hubby) What a special day to let everyone know what a great husband/daddy you are lucky enough to have. My husband sure is special. He is such a great worker and loves his children. Everyday his eyes light up when the kids are around. He looks like a kid himself when they play together. Smiles, love and family is all you need. I hope everyone enjoys this special day that is just around the corner!
