Well – if you didn’t notice from the Giant Coupon Matchups this week, the Hershey Park deal is nowhere near as good a deal as it has been in past years.
For the past several years, the last few weeks of June have seen deals where you had to spend $40-$50 on select Kraft and/or Pepsi products (before coupons) and in exchange you would get a free Hershey Park ticket.
This year, you have to spend $50 on products (AFTER coupons, according to the fine print) in order to get a $15 off coupon! To make matters worse, the prices on the participating items aren’t even that good!
I know that times are tough, but this just stinks….because if you look at the Hershey Park website, you are actually spending $50 to save an extra $4 (since you can already buy tickets at Giant for $11 off and I am sure that you can’t combine that discount with the one this week).
Will this change make you skip a trip to Hershey Park this year? It probably will for my family!
(but if you want to head there this week, there is still this Hershey Park Coupon for $13 off that is valid through June 30, 2012)

I noticed this today too
Soo disappointing. I was really looking forward to this promotion. No Hersheypark for us this summer.
You do actually combine this $15 coupon with the $11 Giant discount, so you’re actually saving $26 per ticket. Not the same as free, but not terrible either!
This $15 coupon is actually on top of the $11 Giant discount, so you’re saving $26 per ticket. Not the same as free, but not terrible either!
I know I am a little late commenting this, but if you live in the area, it’s not difficult to get free tickets. Almost every teenager less than an hour from Hershey works at the park, and they get a certain amount of free tickets for every pay check. It would probably be a good idea to ask them if they have any they aren’t using. Much cheaper than worrying about coupons!
Great advice for those that live closer to Hershey Erin! Thanks!
