Welcome to my new series “Freezer to Crockpot Cooking”. This series will focus on crockpot meals that are ideal for freezer bulk cooking. Each week I will post the shopping list by Wednesday and then the complete recipes and instructions on Friday.
If you do not already have a crockpot or need a new one this is a fantastic model, with plenty of room, you could even double these recipes and fit it in. It’s portable and super convenient for pot-lucks, showers, and other parties. If you want a smaller one, I have this one and love it as well!
In Week 1, we are going to focus on chicken dishes and will be making:
- Crockpot Chicken Pot Pie
- Crockpot Chicken Fajitas
- Crockpot Chicken and Broccoli Rice Casserole
- Crockpot Chicken Alfredo
Your Shopping List below will make 1 of each dish, ready to go in the freezer. If you are feeling motivated, feel free to double or triple this shopping list to make 2 or 3 of each! Each recipe will serve 4 people, so if your family is larger or you like larger-than-normal portions, you may want to increase the shopping list by 50% (to serve 6)
Without further ado, here is your shopping list for the week:
12-15 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (5 – 6 oz each)
3 bell peppers
Box of chicken broth
White or brown rice,
1 bag shredded cheese of choice; cheddar or Colby/Monterey jack mix work well
3 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 can condensed cream of broccoli soup
1 box fettuccini noodles
1 8oz block of cream cheese
1 Package of tortillas
2 cloves of garlic
