I mentioned this deal in my weekly Giant post, but I sent Brad to Giant and he just got back and I wanted to show you what an AMAZING deal there is at Giant this week.
This week, the “Fill your Freezer” deal gives you $5 off when you buy any 6 participating items. Included in the sale are Ittibitz (single-serve ice cream treats…they are kind of like Dippin’ Dots) and Seviroli frozen filled pastas and gnocchi, both priced at $1 each.
That means that if you get 6 of them for $6, $5 comes off instantly…making them 6 for $1!
Brad just came home from Giant with 24 frozen ravioli/gnocchi and 12 Ittibitz. He didn’t use a single coupon and paid only $6 for everything.
(note: he did mess one thing up…he bought the wrong spinach ravioli (Mama Rosie instead of Seviroli). It was also on sale for $1 and he assumed that it was the right brand. When the $5 credit didn’t come off for those 6 bags, he thought that they “capped it” at 5 promos per transaction and the manager took off $5 manually…she must not have realized that he bought the wrong brand either. After looking at the bags, I told him that he got the wrong brand. If you are getting spinach ravioli, be aware that there are 2 different ones on sale for $1 this week…make sure that you grab the Seviroli!)
OMG. I need to take notes to make sure I do this right. I am SO going to Giant tomorrow to get ravioli. I NEVER bring coupons, so this is my kind of deal. Thanks Mindi!

Doing this deal last night, I, too, grabbed the Mama Rosie ravioli at first–in my Giant, the Seviroli is below eye level (sneaky!). And I’d never noticed the ittibitz before. Giant often has deals like this … you just have to read the ads closely (or let Mindy do it for you, lol). My favorite was the time mac and cheese was 4/$2 and was part of a buy-8-get-$4-off instantly promo. Boy was the food bank happy to see me that month!
Glad Brad isn’t the only one who grabbed the wrong one!
I remember that Mac & Cheese deal…I even went to a “non-gas-points store” to do it because I wanted the free mac & cheese, not the gas points!
I just did this deal today, although not quite so many since I don’t have that many ravioli eaters in my household.
The first store was out of the Ittibitz. I had a few minutes between appointments, so I went to a second store. Couldn’t find them. Asked the stock boy. He told me they’re discontinued so when they’re gone, they’re gone.
We are heading back to Giant when the kids get home from school (have to run to Target anyway and Giant is right next to it and Brad said that they were so well-stocked with ravioli that he wouldn’t mind buying another 24!). I’ll see that they say about the Ittibitz at my store (he did grab the last 12 when he was there, but they might have more in the back!)

Ok, I did see this and bought 6. I’m serving the ravioli tonight to see if my kids like it (they never had this before). If they do, it’s back to Giant I go

I tried to do this deal at Giant today and had a horrible time… The computer wasn’t taking off the $5 for every 6. Left with nothing because of such the hard time I was given
Ashley – I’m sorry that you had a hard time. By any chance, were you trying to buy the tortellini? There are a few Servioli pastas that are the same size bag and right next to the ones that ARE included. That might possibly be why it didn’t work?

Did you use your bonuscard? You have to use your own card and NOT the store card.
