Giant of PA 9/28 through 10/4/08 – TRIPLERS!

I’ve heard that not all areas received them, but this week sees the return of Tripler Coupons.  Make sure that you save the circular that came in your mail, because usually the store copies won’t have your Tripler Coupons

Since I got tied up all weekend with computer/car issues (and a husband who selfishly wanted attention…MEN!)and I still have to do my Acme post, this is going to be a condensed version.  Assuming that my computer and/or car don’t blow up this week, I’ll be back to normal with the next circulars.  You’re not really losing out anyway, since there are very few coupon matchups with sale items!

Page 1

Tripler Coupons:  6 coupons which will triple any coupon with a face value of $.99 or less.  Must spend a minimum of $15 (after Bonus Buys but before coupons) in order to use them

Save an additional $.40/gallon when you purchase any 3 participating meat items (sine the prices for the meat are suck that you have to spend about $30 on non-sale meat to get $.40/gallon, this isn’t that good a deal)

Top Round London Broil:  BOGO

Hatfield Boneless Center Cut Pork Roast:  BOGO

Nabisco Ritz or Snack Crackers and Kraft Natural Chunk Cheese:  4 for $8 (must buy 4) (if you have any leftover Free coupons from the August All You (WHICH EXPIRE ON TUESDAY), this is as good a time as any to use them!

Pringles:  10 for $10 (use the $.30/3 from the 8/31 P&G)

Freshly Made Stronboli:  BOGO (these are actually pretty good!)

Page 3

Save $3 OYNO wyb $10 worth of participating Colgate-Palmolive products (in 1 transaction):  coupons for these items were in the 9/28 SS.  Combined with your tripler coupons, this could make for some good deals/free stuff

Considering the advertised sales aren’t that great, I’ll do another post after my trip to Giant today.  I’m taking my binder with me and seeing what I can match up with shelf prices and my Triplers!

Sorry this post isn’t as detailed as usual…but if you had the weekend that I just did, you would understand….FYI – I STILL have those viruses on my computer.  I’m getting to the point where I am thinking about just buying a new one!

I used to shop at Giant and then I met Wegmans and then my grocery bill skyrocketed and then we moved. Bye bye best challah bread ever!

    Mercedess last blog post..Giveaway Announcement

  2. Mindi says:

LOL! We have a Wegmans being built near here and it’s going to take everything I have in me not to want to do my shopping there! Their bakery is wonderful!
But I have heard good things about their deals….

  3. Jen Mc says:

I don’t know about other areas, byt my flyer says triple coupons up to $0.50.

  4. Mindi says:

    Hi Jen!

Like most chains, Giant does adjust their coupon policy by area and depending on what other area stores are doing. So if most of the other stores in your area don’t double, or only double up to a certain amount, your Giant may just “match” what the other stores are doing….since it’s not like they are going to lose your business to another local store with a better coupon policy.

In other words, they aren’t going to give you any more than they have to (I think this is why Acme changed their coupon policy…they were already more expensive and without increasing their limits, many people were just hitting them for the “loss leaders”).

    Stinks, doesn’t it?
