Giant: Unlimited FREE Eggo Waffles (in batches of 10)

Beth left a comment in the weekly Giant post and I just got back from trying this out!  The best part of this deal? You don’t need a single coupon to do it…and if you DO have coupons, it is a moneymaker!

NOTE:  I bought the last 10 boxes of Eggo Waffles at my store and then I turned around and ORDERED another 60 boxes (yeah – I know – but we have a REALLY big freezer).  Your store will likely be sold out.  Just ask at the customer service desk if they can order them for you.  My waffles will be in either Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest!

So here is the deal:

Eggo Waffles are priced at $1.99 this week and you get $5 off instantly when you buy 5 boxes

AND

The Fuel For School Catalina deal just started and you get $10 OYNO when you buy 10 participating Kellogg’s items.

So here’s how it works:

:: Without Coupons

Buy 10 Eggo Waffles, $19.90
Save $10 instantly (the $5 off instantly wyb 5 DOES stack)
Pay $9.90 out of pocket
Receive a $10 Catalina
Final price:  10 boxes FREE after Catalina

:: With coupons

Buy 10 Eggo Waffles, $19.90
Save $10 instantly (the $5 off instantly wyb 5 DOES stack)
$1/2 Eggo Frozen Products 6/20/2010 RP Insert (exp 8/15/2010)
$1/2 Kellogg’s Eggo and/or Cinnabon Products 7/25/2010 RP Insert (exp 9/19/2010)
Pay as little as $4.90 out of pocket (if you have 5 coupons)
Receive a $10 Catalina
Final price: 10 boxes FREE + $5.10 overage after coupon and Catalina

Best of all? Grab another 10 boxes and a banana (or anything that you can buy for about $.10) and use the Catalina from the first transaction to pay for a second….and you will STILL get another $10 Catalina!

I called the Catalina Marketing Company and this promo runs through 8/14/2010 (although the $5 instant savings will likely not be around after Saturday)

Shopping somewhere else this week? Check out the rest of the grocery deals that I have posted!

Do you think this is going on at sister store Martins as well? We don’t have a Giant, but I believe Martins is owned by Giant.

  2. Jennifer says

Do you suppose the catalina deal is offered at Giants where it is not advertised in the weekly flyer? (The $5 instant savings is there… just no mention of the $10 catalina.)

    Thanks SO much Mindi!

There were TONS of waffles left at my store so I got 20 boxes. I paid $7.90 b/c I only had 2 coupons, but got the $10 catalina for the 2nd transaction. I still have a $10 cat left and I may run out tomorrow with the kids and see if I can pick up 10 more. It depends if I can make some room in the freezer :)

@ Jennifer – I didn’t see any signs for the $10 catalina at my store either, so I just tried with 1 transaction first and – SCORE!

I thought this was such a great deal that I went out and bought 30 boxes this am. I started to worry I’d have enough room in the deep freeze for so many boxes. I shouldn’t have worried because I found the freezer had been unplugged….seemingly for days. Ugh, so frustrating to clean up a HUGE mess….but at least I have room for all those waffles!

Same deal goes for the Keebler crackers (boxes of 6-8packs). Who ever heard of unlimited crackers and waffles in the same week and with no coupons needed. I am dying! LOL

If you need pop tarts, cereal (kelloggs – apple jacks, fruit loops, frosted flakes, corn pops) or nutrigrain bars, they are part of the instant savings and the cat deal too, without coupons they are only 50 cents per box. With coupons, they are free/cheap/mm’s.

  6. Janice says

This is so GREAT! The biggest downfall to watching other children is that I can’t get there until tonight! PLEASE save me some :)

  7. says

Well, I was going to try to resist, but my co-worker is making me jealous with all of his free waffles and crackers–LOL!

FYI – I got this same cat deal on a print out at Genuardi’s, so it will be running there starting on Friday. Not sure if we’ll get any good sale prices, but just so you know.

Buy any TEN (10) Kellogg’s, Keebler, Sunshine, Eggo, and/or Morningstar Farms products (3.8 oz or larger), any flavor, mix or match) in one shopping order between 8/6-8/12/10 and save 10.00 on a future order with coupon.

Does Redners have the Catalina coupons?? I was just looking at their sales online and noticed they have Eggos waffles 3/$5 and Pancakes 2/$3.
Wondering if it would work there…. I usually dont shop there but its so close to my house it could be worth it, maybe.

Giant in PA is offering this great deal! The clerks all seemed surprised by my totals, so I do not think many customers have taken advantage of this deal yet. I completed 4 transactions with no problems. The shelves were all stocked, with the exception of blueberry Eggos.

    Here is what I did:
Purchase #1: bought 10 packs of Keebler crackers, Cost $20, $10 after instant savings and a catalina coupon for $10 off your next printed.

Purchase #2: bought 10 packs of Eggo Waffles, cost $20, $10 after instant savings, total after using $10 catalina was 0, plus another catalina printed.

Purchase #3: bought 10 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal, cost $25, $15 after $10 instant savings, $5 after catilina, $1.25 after $3.25 in manufactures coupons and a $10 catalina printed. ( I picked up a package of cookies to cover the shortage from the manufacture coupons)

Purchase #4: bought 10 boxes of Keebler Club Crackers, cost $25, $15 after $10 instant savings, $5 after $10 catalina, plus another $10 catalina printed out.

Total Price paid for all items was $16.25, orginal cost would have been $120.99. and I still have a $10 catalina to use.

With this I called it a night! Hope everyone else has a chance to get in on this great deal! Happy Saving!

Sorry I forgot to mention, this Giant store advertises as a “Martins” store. So to answer someones question they are honoring this deal too.

  12. Bonnie says

I just confirmed that the cat is printing for the Keebler cookies (chips deluxe on sale for $2.50) too. So excited, as if 50 cents per box isn’t great enough, they had $2 off any brand 6 pack + waters peelies on them. I checked out the water prices, lots of waters to choose from at $2 or less. I passed up the potential for overage and got 6 of the aquapod 6 packs which are on sale for $2 and are part of the buy 6, get $.20 off in gas points. So my deal looked like this.

10 boxes of Chips Deluxe ($2.50×10=$25)
    6 packs of Aquapods ($2×6=$12)
    Minus Instant Savings (-$10)
    Use 5 $2 peelies (-$10)
    Use previous $10 cat (-$10)
($37-$30) Pay $7, get another $10 and $.20 in gas (worth $4 in my 20 gallon tank)
all told $3 for 10 cookies, 6 waters
    $37-$22

I went to my local Giant and did the deals there. A bonus was that I found coupon booklets on the Kelloggs Fuel for School display. There are coupons included where if you buy 2 boxes of Kelloggs cereal you can get $2 off any store brand baggies. There are many store brand bags priced less than $2. Lucky for me the cashiers gave me the overage so I ended up paying $1.11 for 10 boxes of cereal and 5 boxes of bags twice! There are other coupons in there for $ off items like milk, produce, bread, etc. I figure we might as well take advantage since we’re buying the products anyway!

  14. Debbie says

Beware of Giant in Thorndale. I bought 10 boxes of Eggo buttermilk waffles and went the checkout. The catalina DID NOT print. When I went to the customer service desk, the clerk didn’t understand the difference between the $5 off five items and the $10 Catalina. Long story short, I returned the ten boxes of waffles. I will try another Giant store as I know others who have been able to do this deal. I did get the last 10 boxes of rice crispy treats on another order and got my catalina. Yes!!

  15. Ruth says

I had the same problem at the Giant in Thorndale, the catalinas never print, not sure if the machines are kept with no paper or what is going on there. I will get my $20.00 back from the catalina company. It was just frustrating not to get them right away.
