Ok – THIS is an update: the bags that are included in the deal are the 10-14 oz bags, not the 20 oz bags that it says in the circular. That was a misprint. However, I just checked all the bags that we bought yesterday and they are the 10-14 oz bags and they are correctly labeled in the store! Thanks to Becky for pointing that out on the Moms Need To Know Facebook Fan page!
This isn’t really an update, but I wanted to point a few things out to those that are trying to snag the same awesome deal that we got this morning!
1. Be careful that you are getting the exact shape/form of pasta. The only ones that are included in this deal are the Spinach Ravioli, the Mini/Bite Size Ravioli, the Large Cheese Ravioli, Mac A Roli, Gnocchi and Cavatelli. These are all 10-14 oz bags. There are several other types of Seviroli frozen pasta in the same size bags (tortellini, stuffed shells, meat-filled pastas etc) that are NOT part of the deal and will not trigger the instant $5 Savings.
2. Most Giant stores restock their freezer departments during the overnight shift. You might have a better chance of finding Seviroli and Ittibitz in stock by going in the morning.
3. If the shelves are empty, it never hurts to ask if they have more in the back.
4. Brad & I swung by my Giant about an hour ago and our store was cleared out. When I asked if there was more in the back, I was told that they should get more in tonight and they would gladly give me a raincheck for 6 for $1 (I didn’t ask if they would give me a raincheck for 48 for $8…didn’t want to push it)
5. I have errands to run in the morning and plan to stop in to my Giant on my way home. Even if they have them in stock, I will ask if they will order me a case of Seviroli and/or Ittibitz. I have had good luck with Acme and Genuardi’s letting me order large quantities when they were having an amazing deal. Hopefully Giant will let me as well…I’ll report back tomorrow around lunchtime and let you what they say! If you can place an order with your store, everyone is happy. You are happy because you know that what you want is there when you want it. The store is happy (especially the frozen food manager) because they are moving product.
Let me know how you are making out with this deal!

Thank you so much for posting your trial results, showing you could do more than one “batch” per order. I got 18 Ittibitz and 6 ravioli at my Super Giant today. If I had one of those handy stand-alone freezers, I’d definitely be on the prowl for more. What a great deal!
I’m dying to do this deal, but I can’t make it to the store until Friday night at the earliest. Although maybe it’d be better to wait til Saturday morning since you said they stock overnight. I’ll have to wait and see.
I did the deal today at my local Giant (Bucks county)- 24 bags or ravioli and 24 ice cream dots. My friend with me was so impressed that she called a friend in DE County to tell her about the deal. This friend of hers called ME when she got to the store so i could walk her through the transaction. Unfortunately she grabbed some tortellini (without me knowing)so when she got to the register it was a big mess. I told her to get the Mgr. We finally figured out the “tortellini problem” …he rang it through anyway!!!! UNBELIEVABLE DEAL!!!
I got 18 bags today. Made the minis for dinner–T ate a big serving and I made mine with asparagus and mushrooms. They’re cheap AND good!!

I ran out after I read your previous post and I showed tremendous self restraint – I bought 12 bags of ravioli, and 12 ice creams. There weren’t too many of the raviolis left to choose from.
The hardest thing about this deal was finding room in the freezer to store all of it! I wish I had a bigger freezer and I would go back tomorrow morning for more. Thanks for posting this!
I also went to a store in Bucks County tonight (Yardley) – and got 6 gnocchis, 6 raviolis , 6 cavatelli and 6 ice creams. My store had a good selection of the pastas, but not the ice cream.. All that was left was choc chip cookie dough and banana split. I am going to go back in the morning and see if anything else comes in. Now I just need to find more room in my freezer!!
I just stopped at Giant on the way home from work and got 18 of the frozen pasta bags for $3. The self-check register took the $ off at the end of the transaction ($5 for every 6 items!) Not a great selection left tonight but maybe they will restock. No Ittibitz at the store either…kids would have loved them. Is there ice cream included in this deal too?
WHoo Hoo!!! I bought 21 bags of the pasta & 3 ice creams…it’s all they had left. tonight after everyone went to bed I ate a banana split flavored Ittibitz…can I tell you….YUMMERS!!!! I am addicted!!! It was soooo good! I will be swinging by another Giant tomorrow AM for more!!! Thanks so much!
Got 24 Ittibitz,
6 Breyer’s Ice cream (with Giant $1/2 coupon from one page mailer last week),
12 ravioli/minis.
$59.88 before savings
$14.00 after!
Harleysville still has more of all after my 7 am trip! FYI, looks like if you buy less than 6 included freezer items, they take off a portion of the $5 per item- in case there are only 3 items left in stock-not sure but worth a try.
I’m going over lunch, once I drop the kids off at pre-school. Hopefully they’ll have some when I go because I might not make it back to the store again before having the baby!!

I haven’t gone yet, but am planning on going soon. I assume I can do it all on 1 transaction? Not just 6 in one order, but multiples of 6 in one order will work?
I went last night at about 10pm. Only pasta left was Mac-a-roli. I got 6 bags of that, 12 Ittibitz cups, Johnson Kid’s Bar Soap, Perdue Chicken Nuggets (B1G1). After $5 coupon from frozen food purchases last week and coupon for soap, I paid $2.04. I too don’t have enough freezer space but would LOVE to go back and get more before this sale is over! Thanks so much for the heads up on this deal!
WOW! What a deal. Just how much pasta can we stock in our freezers? lol
My first GIANT … well they were VERY well stocked… upon looking at the items I could see why! They must have had something happen to the feezers as everything was all freezer burned and yuck. The lilbitz were like a rock in the container while others were clearly melted together and all on one side of the container. I of course left there and went to my next and newer GIANT
I got lots of pasta and lilbitz. Just dont know if I should get more. The minis are great to send into my sons school lunch.
Any idea what the rain check for this would look like? My store was wiped out, so if I ask for a raincheck will it include the $5 off?
I wasn’t able to get any, but they gave me a raincheck for the Ittibitz as 6 for $1.
I went to mine this AM and they were almost wiped out of the cheese bite ravioli. There was plenty spinach and 2 shelves up and in the next door was the rest of the ravioli, the cavatelli, and some others. The “stock your freezer” sign is NOT very big. And it would hard to miss if you weren’t looking for it.

Went to my Giant this morning and snagged 48 bags for only $8. I also was able to order 2 cases(24 in each) of the ittibitz and they will be in on Saturday. Thanks for posting this deal-I am stocked up on pasta now and my sons will love the ice cream treats!
Went last night, I purchased 18 Itibitz & 24 bags of assorted pasta, $7.00! Thanks for the idea of adding mushrooms and aspargus, Jennifer Y.! Just an FYI, since you are not using coupons, you can purchase everything in one transaction, I even went through self checkout with NO problems! Thanks for finding and sharing this deal with us Mindi, we often get together with 2 other families on Sunday night and have dinner together. Now I can make something yummy without breaking the budget!
I got a raincheck this morning for 18 bags at the size in the ad…20-21 oz. for a dollar. I wouldn’t know any better if I hadn’t read your post, but my raincheck is written out for 6 at a total of $1. Not sure how that will work now that I know….
I went today and cleaned out my Giant’s stock. Thanks!!! I got 48 bags of ravioli and gnocchi and 24 tubs of ice cream!!! Thanks for the heads-up on this deal!!!
Jamie,
I got plenty of pasta at my one store, but they were out of the ice cream so I asked for a rain check. They wrote it out so that each ice cream would be $1 and wrote a note that for each 6, $5 off. She wrote it out for 12 for me so I could do the deal 2x. If you can though, go back early in the morning because they are pretty good about restocking nightly, at least they are at my stores!
Had the pasta for lunch and they are so good. And the kids loved the mac a rolis, what a cheap lunch these made.
The Blue Bell Giant only had the mini ravoli and gnocchi yesterday, so i now have 6 bags each plus 12 Ittibitz. So glad I have a freezer in my basement for occasions like this! I may need to get more!
Thank you so much for posting this! I bought 18 bags today. With other bargains, I ended up only spending $22.90 on $77.78 worth of groceries! I blogged about it here:

Thanks again!
