I’m a whore. Now – before anyone who knew me in college starts screaming “I can’t believe she is finally admitting it!”, let me clarify….I’m a Box Tops Whore. I will whore myself out to get Box Tops, to make sure that my boys classrooms win the Box Tops contests at school and I have even been known to sneak in to my mothers pantry when I am visiting to steal Box Tops off her Ziploc boxes. (one exception to the whole “I’m a whore” thing….see my Disclosure at the bottom of this post!)
One thing I haven’t mentioned much is that I am on the Board for my Home & School Association…so I know how quickly those little rectangles add up! What many people don’t realize is that most schools do not provide funding for those little extras…like assemblies, the latest technologies, Fun Fair, Fall Fest and more. At far too many schools, those funds come from the fundraising done by the Home & School and the BTFE program can be a big part of that.
The people at Box Tops For Education have set up The Marketplace. Simply put, it is just like other shopping portals that I have written about in the past, with one exception: instead of getting a percentage back in the form of a rebate, a percentage of your purchases will go to your school! This is a great way for those of you who might not purchase Box Tops-participating products to still be able to support your school…and for those who do participate in the BTFE program to increase their support even more!
Give Back Without Spending Extra: The Marketplace includes leading brands like Dell, Victoria’s Secret, Target, Best Buy—you name it. Simply join BTFE.com and choose a school to support. When you start your shopping trips through the Marketplace, a percentage of your purchases automatically goes directly to your school!
Shop for your Teachers: Looking for the perfect way to make your kids’ teacher smile this holiday? Find out if they have a My Class Essentials registry and shop for the classroom supplies they really need. Two percent of each purchase goes back to your school.
Deals and Discounts: Who doesn’t love them? We’ve partnered with more than 100 of your favorite stores to bring you new offers almost every day. Check out our Deals and Discounts Page or follow us on Twitter to receive a daily update.
To help raise awareness of The Marketplace, the people at Box Tops For Education have given me a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card that you can use at the Box Tops Marketplace to give away!

Full Disclosure: The $25 gift card was given to me for my personal use. Instead, I have chosen to give it away. I received no compensation whatsover for this post (I told you – I LOVE the Box Tops program!)

Yes I save them and give them to my kids school. Thanks for the chance.
I am a subscriber. Thanks for the chance.
My kids aren’t even old enough for school yet, but I’ve been saving my box tops for years. And I’ve converted my mom, in-laws, and many friends so they save theirs and give them to me as well. I will give them to my friends’ kids who are school age.

I save box tops and equally divide them into threes for my school age children. I have never heard of the Marketplace and I am thrilled to learn about it. I will definitely use it. I also feel like today was more positive since I learned something!!! Thanks so much!

I love boxtops! Our school collects them – we have two classroom contests a year and then we do a monthly collections as well.
I’ve never heard of the MarketPlace before & my kids aren’t old enough to be in school yet. Although, I save some of my tops (when I remember) & give them to my sister who’s a teacher.

I, too, LOVE Box Tops! I have collected them for my kids’ classrooms for years! The schools here in Califoria have no money for anything, and the PTSAs have used Box Tops to help pay for books and science camps. (Used to be field trips, but that’s a luxury we can no longer afford here.) I would definitely use it for the schools!

I don’t have a child in school but I save my Box Tops & send them to my nephew for his school. I’ve never heard of The Marketplace but it looks pretty neat
Just posted a link on my Facebook
Love this blog!
My son’s school participated in Box Tops for Education. I had never heard of the Marketplace but I will check it out.
I give box tops to my neighbor. I never heard of the marketplace.
I love boxtops, too!
I checked out the marketplace and may use it for shopping in the future. (I had never heard of it.) I use my box tops for my daughter’s school and even before I had children I would give my box tops to my girlfriend who is a teacher for her school. I even snatch box tops off of discarded boxes at my local recycling plant!
I am a happy subscriber!
I use it to support our schools.

I just love your post. I subscribe to receive in my email and just want to thank you for all the great and helpful tips and links. I just had twin boys and started collecting the BTFE tabs again for their future school. My mom used to make it a game between my sisters and I when we were younger and we collected and donated them to our schools. Looking forward to being able to help the school district again, and even have all six grandparents and all the aunts and uncles collecting the box tops for the twins school. I figure I buy the products it is the least I can do….Donate a little of my time for basically free money for the school. I hadn’t heard of the Marketplace, but just checked it out and plan on using it before buying online for the participating merchants. THANKS so much for bringing this to our attention!
I also save boxtops for my daughter, her school holds contests in fall and spring of who can bring in the most tops. I will even when possible buy 3 or 4 smaller packages instead of the big one to get more for her. Never heard of marketplace but looking at it now.
As I do not have children of my own (due to a health issue), I have a nuimber of nieces and nephews. Thank you for the link for this program. I will have to tell my siblings.
I had not heard of this program prior to your posting.
We homeschool, so no BTFE for us. I save them for my nephew’s school and for a teacher friend whose school could really use the $$. I’d never heard of the Marketplace before, but I think it’s a great idea!
I subscribe by email. Thanks!
I do participate in Box Tops and I am so excited to find out about the marketplace.!
I already subscribe.
I will definately promote this on Facebook.
I’m signed up for the Box Tops program, but not active because I don’t have children in school. I’ve heard of The MarketPlace, but haven’t shopped there. I quit saving Box Tops, but have a few I’d be happy to send you — and it wouldn’t be any bother at all to start saving them again for someone that can use or wants them
*Thanks* for the giveaway!

We collect Box Tops for my son’s school. I’ve heard of the Marketplace but generally shop through Upromise or ebates.
