Stop in to your local Haagen Dazs on May 12th between 4:00pm and 8:00pm and get a free scoop of any Haagen-Dazs Bee-Built Ice Cream.
What is the big deal about Bee-Built Ice Cream? Well, I usually never publish press releases sent to me (instead I try to just review the product on my own), but the problems with the bee population are reaching critical levels, so here ya go:
On Tuesday, May 12, 2009, consumers can visit any participating Häagen-Dazs Shop between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. to receive a free scoop of any of Häagen-Dazs bee-built flavor. Since honey bees pollinate ingredients essential to more than 50 percent of Häagen-Dazs ice cream’s all-natural flavors, consumers will have a large assortment of flavors from which to choose.
Over the last several winters, approximately 1 in 3 bee colonies in the United States has vanished. The Häagen-Dazs brand realizes the importance of these hard working pollinators, responsible for pollinating one-third of America’s food supply, and is proud to further raise awareness of the serious issues threatening honey bee populations with this year’s Free Flavor Day.
To find a nearby Häagen-Dazs Shop where you can participate in the Free Flavor Day festivities, visit www.haagendazs.com.
For full details on the crisis facing the honey bee population, how the Häagen-Dazs brand is helping with the continuation of the Häagen-Dazs loves Honey Bees™ program and how you can take part, please visit www.helpthehoneybees.com.
Anyway – enjoy your ice cream!
