Home Depot is having a FREE workshop this Saturday, October 3rd from 9am to noon at all Home Depot stores. They are geared towards children age 5-12, but the younger children will likely need some help from you.
In addition to making a cute Message center, your child will also receive a kid-sized orange apron and an achievement pin.
(this is the second Message Center that they are doing in 2 months…I guess the last one was popular?)

It’s now posted as a Firehouse Bank. I guess they forgot to change the name on their photo template, but it’s fixed now.
My kids love these projects! I tend to like the HD ones better than the Lowe’s ones. Lowes are a little too on the cutsie side for me.
Some HD locations also have local firefighters and trucks on hand to meet with kids… I am so bummed we will miss this one! It is our favorite of the whole year.
We like Lowes too – but at least locally, HD dedicates the same two ladies to do this every month and, as usual, the people make the difference. The two how do these workshops are awesome – great with kids – friendly… Also – Lowes does maybe two a month? I think it is too much… It is more special once a month. Just my opinion…
