Bad news for you people who have been enjoying the Kmart Super Doubles. Charlene at My Frugal Adventures went to the trouble to confirm this with FIVE different Kmart reps….the Kmart Super Doubles that starts this Sunday (8/30/09) will be the last Super Doubles until at least 2010!
Considering this news, it seems very likely that the upcoming Super Doubles will be an even busier/crazier one than in the past, as people rush to take advantage of Super Doubles one last time. I would plan to be there first thing Sunday morning to make sure that you don’t miss out on the deals!
So gather up your coupons, check here here and here for any good printables and then check out Charlene’s Kmart Coupon Matchups as well as the list that Mercedes has put together (note that the list at Common Sense With Money includes some Register Promotions that may no longer be valid, but scroll down to the “regular list” of matchups.)
That is a shame the Kmart Super Doubles will be ending soon. We don’t get it here anyway but I could imagine that it would be a great incentive.

I still am confused on one thing, I know this might sound like a stupid question! but how does double coupons work? Do you have to use 2 coupons on one item, or do they double the value of one? I’m young and inexperienced at coupons! please help….Thanks so much for offering this blog to moms like me!

Double coupons means that the value of the coupon is doubled. You still only use 1 coupon per item, but Kmart will double it. One of the reasons that Kmart Super Doubles are such a big deal is that they usually double up to $2 (so $2 coupon has a value of $4) and this is way “above & beyond” what other stores do!
Make sure that you check out the links to the 2 other sites, because Charlene and Mercedes have great lists of a bunch of items that you can get for free at Kmart (once the Super Doubles start on Sunday)

If your Kmart doubles I imagine it would be a good time to stock up on baby wipes. I don’t know what they normally charge for wipes anymore… my only child is 13!

This is so unfair. During 2008 here in Las Vegas, they held double coupons one time. During 2009, they have not held them at all. I asked a manager about this, and he told me the decision of whether a store is selected for the double coupon promotion depends upon the previous participation of customers.
Lets see if we are “shunned” again in 2010…..
Our Kmarts here in Columbus (there are two) are not doing it
