The Perfect Manicure for Moms

I love getting my nails done.  But aside from the cost ($12 with tip each week does tend to add up), there is the time factor.  Let’s face it:  with 3 kids running around I often can’t find the time to eat lunch, much less get my nails done!

So I was thrilled when I got an email from SheSpeaks, asking me if I wanted to test the new Nic’s Sticks by OPI.  I am a big fan of OPI nail polish, having had Cajun Shrimp (from their “regular line”) on my toes for the last 10 years.

So what is a Nic’s Stick?  It’s basically nail polish in pen form.  There is a brush on one end and a pump that you use to release the polish in to the brush on the other end.  It’s a no mess way to not only give yourself a manicure, but to carry your polish with you for on-the-go touchups.  It dries in just minutes.  It’s so easy, you can even paint your nails while driving (not that I would EVER do that…oh no…umm…ok.  onward)

With the coupons they sent me, I will be looking for them at Target or Walmart in the near future (of course, I DO want to wait to see if I can find them on sale….and a Target Printable would be nice as well!).  They retail for $6.99 each and come in 24 colors as well as a top coat.

Would I change anything about them?  Yes.

The first thing that I would like is if it came in my beloved Cajun Shrimp.  The color that they sent me (In The Nic of Time) is pretty close, but not exact…but that’s just me being picky!

The second thing?  They have a regular line of Nicole By Opi traditional bottle polish.  It would be nice if there was some overlapping of colors so that those of us who like to take our color to the manicurist could then have the convenience of the pen to for quick touch-ups.

Other than that – I love this stuff!

Am I getting paid for this review?  Nope.

Do I even have to post a review on this site? Double Nope.  Matter of fact, the only thing I had to do was go back to SheSpeaks and fill out a short survey.

Is SheSpeaks an exclusive online community that has 15 hoops to jump through in order to get free product to try?  Absolutely not!  Anyone can sign up and I have had NO increase in Spam emails since I joined.  Just go here to get on their email list and maybe you can get something for free as well (I’m waiting for the Mercedes survey!)

Ooh, I got one from SheSpeaks too. I was a little skeptical at first but I love it.

    I like your color.

I also tested this via Shespeaks and was so full of hope for this as I am terrible at painting my own nails. At first it was fantastic – but chipped so soon after and performed dreadfully after I tried a second coat (thinking this was the reason it chipped).
