Sun & Earth Gift Pack Giveaway

So about a week ago, I was Skype chatting with one of my friends who I know is a big fan of Sun & Earth products.  As we were chatting, I was looking at her blog and saw that she had written a post about Sun & Earth recently.  Completely innocently, I said “I need to find out who the Sun & Earth PR person is because I just used the laundry detergent for the first time and I LOVE it”.  Turns out my friend has been acting as the PR person for some time and offered to send me a gift pack and another to give away! (note to self:  make friends with BMW PR person!)

I think the first thing I like about Sun & Earth is that it is local to me.  Sun & Earth has been making eco-friendly products for 20 years right in the Philadelphia suburbs…and they were Green before Green Was Cool.

Sun & Earth set out to prove that non-toxic cleaners can clean as well or better than products that were available on the market at the time.  All of the laundry and cleaning products are free of petroleum based cleaners, chlorine, phosphates, dyes and perfumes that leave a residue. Additionally, they are not tested on animals.

As for the individual products?

Laundry Detergent: considering this is what made me fall in love with Sun & Earth in the first place, I can’t say enough about it.  Clothes come clean and you do not need much of it to be effective.  It works perfectly in both regular and high efficiency washers!  It is also available in a “Free & Clear” unscented version.

Ultra Fabric Softener:  unlike other “eco-friendly” laundry products that I have tried, the laundry detergent seems to be gentle enough that you don’t really need fabric softener (although people with hard water who don’t have a water softener or those with a different washing machine may have a different experience).  But when I did use the fabric softener, the clothes came out AMAZING!

All purpose spray cleaner: not only does it work and smell fantastic, it is natural and non-toxic.  I have even used it to clean out the hamster cages.  It is all-natural and completely biodegradable.

Concentrated Dish Liquid:  once again, a little goes a long way.  It is effective and doesn’t dry out my hands.  It is even safe enough to be used as a veggie wash!

I could go on and on about the products (and probably will in another post), but there is one thing that absolutely sets Sun & Earth above all others….the Refill Stations.  They are an easy-to-use fill nozzle stations where you use the laundry detergent bottle and cap that you already have and refill them at Whole Foods and many other local places (local readers:  they have one at Kimberton Whole Foods in Kimberton and Earth Mart in Phoenixville).  They are installing more all the time, so make sure that you Become a Fan of Sun & Earth on Facebook to keep up with the latest refill stations being added!

That is one company that is SERIOUS when they say “Don’t Recycle, Re-Use and Re-fill.”

And now for the Giveaway

The Gift Pack includes:

(1) 22 oz. All Purpose Cleaner
(1) 22 oz. Glass Cleaner
(1) 22 oz. Xtra Concentrated Dish Liquid
(1) 50 oz. 2x Laundry Detergent

(1) 20ct Auto Dishwasher Detergent
(1) 40 oz. Fabric Softener
(1) 3 pk. Microfiber Cloths
(1) On the Spot Stain Pen
(1) Dryer Sheet Trial Size

Reminder: It’s Mega Swagbucks Friday!

swag-buck

Don’t forget that today is Mega Swagbucks Friday!

Mega Swagbucks Friday simply means that they will be awarding Swagbucks in up to $1000 increments today! If you signed up for Swagbucks and keep forgetting to use it, today would be a good day to jump back in! Ditto if you have to sign up!

I’ve talked about Swagbucks before and I really do love them. If you aren’t using Swagbucks, you SHOULD BE! It’s the easiest way I have found to earn Amazon.com gift cards! As I earn the gift cards, I just dump them in my account and then I have a credit balance for whenever I want to buy something.  I’ve been using those credit to buy all of the organic deals that I have been posting lately!

(oh – and just a tip for those of you who do forget to use it….because I used to forget all the time: once I downloaded the Swagbucks toolbar, I found myself using it all the time!)
