So here’s a fun quick question….
Before we had Coupon, I never realized that I said “both ways”.
But we call my puppy Coupon, not Qu-pon.
Neither one is wrong…but which one do you say?

So if you come here several times per day, you may have noticed that I didn’t post anything after dinnertime last night.
That’s because we went out to buy our new puppy…an adorable 10 -week old Shih Tzu.
His name? “Coupon”! I think that qualifies him to be the new Moms Need To Know mascot…don’t you?
The bright side of me now having a puppy? I will be paying FAR more attention to prices on dog food & treats. As I have only had hamsters up to this point, I am sure that I have missed some good pet food deals. Well – no more!
And just for the record….
Yes, we did buy Coupon through a reputable breeder. I was very nervous about purchasing a puppy from a breeder in Lancaster County, because it seems that it is the “puppy mill capital” of the East Coast. It was a very nice Amish family and we got to tour their entire home, barns and garage before we decided to purchase (we WERE looking for any evidence of them being a “puppy mill”). We seriously considering adopting a pet, but really wanted a puppy and couldn’t find one at the local SPCA. Additionally, the other rescue center in our area will NOT place a dog in a home without a fenced-in back yard (which we don’t have) or in a home with children under the age of 8 years (which we DO have).

Here are the best deals of the day that anyone can get on Groupon, regardless of where they live.
If you see a deal that you like, simply log in to your Groupon account and change your location to that city to get the deal!
New Orleans- Those of you with a party or shower to throw in the upcoming months (or a love to LSU or Saints football) may want to jump in on this Groupon, giving you a $20 voucher to spend on party supplies from Party Cup Express for just $10.
Richmond- Pick $75 worth of wine from Wine Insiders for just $25. The Groupon can be used toward shipping and tax, and bottles begin at $9.99. We’ve bought this Groupon twice before when it was featured in other cities and really enjoyed the selection and whole ordering process.
Phoenix- Get a 16″x20″ Canvas on Demand gallery-wrapped photo canvas for just $45- 65% off the regular price. Photo canvases are usually pretty pricey, so this is a great deal! And since the canvas is gallery-wrapped, you won’t need a frame.
Oklahoma City- If love nuts and dried fruit, you may want to snag this deal for $25 worth of products from Nutty Guys for $10. They have organic options too!
North Jersey and Long Island- If you just love New York and its culture and news, you may want to pick up a year-long (54 issues!) subscription to New York magazine for just $13. Delivered weekly, this Groupon will save you 48% off the usual price.
Simply log in to your Groupon account to get started!
As always, a HUGE Thanks to Groupon Girlr for putting this list together!

I never saw anything from the Life Is Good line until last week when we were in Savannah, GA visiting the in-laws and on River Street. It’s just a simple line of clothing and accessories with one uplifting message: Life is Good! I ended up buying a car magnet and putting it on my refrigerator as a several-times per day reminder that every day “above ground” is a good one!
6pm.com put some of the Life Is Good line on sale for up to 55% off. They have a bunch of cute clothes and accessories and, from what I saw of prices last week, these are pretty good prices.
Shipping with 6pm.com is a flat rate of $6.95
Check it out here!
