    Around the Frugal Blogosphere: 12/28/08

I meant to make this an every-week feature, but then between Thanksgiving, my grandfather's funeral, a stomach bug that moved in to our house and getting ready for Christmas, it just fell by the wayside.  But one of my New Year Resolutions will be to do this each and every week...we'll see how that works out!

And I do love spreading the linky-love, so here are a few of my favorite posts from the past two weeks!

AutomaticMom wrote 25 Ways to Save Money in a Tough Economy.  Great practical advice!

Darla over at Sassy Homemaker posted a recipe for Biscuits and Sausage Gravy.  This is SO not a Frugal Fat Fighters Recipe, but it is perhaps my all-time favorite "breakfast indulgence"  (except Darla?  You forgot to mention that you need to put cheap grape jelly on the biscuits before you put the gravy on it.  Trust me - just try it!)

Mercedes wrote a great artcile:  Beware of After Christmas Sales

Jenn at Frugal Upstate is a woman after my own heart...one who loves the ease of the breadmaker, but hates the way the finished loaves look.  Check out this article to see how she has the best of both worlds (bread-wise, that is)

FrugalDad wrote a great reminder that getting a raise is not a license to go nuts with your money.  Check it out here

Did you see any other great posts this week that you think are a "must read"?  Just email them to me and I'll include them in the round-up next week!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about the funky square breadmachine bread. I mean really-who needs a sandwich that takes up the entire plate?

      Thanks for the mention 🙂
