Guacamole is so cheap to make and tastes so much better when it is freshly made. With this easy guacamole recipe, you save money & enjoy more flavor!
If there is one dip that I am picky about, it is my guacamole. I am really the only one in the house who will eat it so if we are going to have it in the house, it has to be just the right recipe.
So far, I have never really found a pre-made guacamole that I like and I know that there is some "debate" over whether guacamole should have tomatoes in it. When my sister makes guacamole for parties, she always includes tomatoes in hers (actually - neat trick - she buys fresh salsa from the deli counter at the grocery store and just mashes that up with the lemon and lime juices and it tastes pretty good!)...but since this is a copycat recipe of the Chipotle Guacamole, we are going to skip the tomatoes.
if you really want some tomatoes, simply whip up a batch of my Copycat Chipotle Salsa and serve them both!
Anyway, to make it this easy guacamole recipe, you will need:
2 Avocados
1 cup chopped Cilantro
½ cup finely chopped Red Onion
1 seeded and finely chopped Jalapeno
½ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
2 teaspoon Lime Juice
Making it couldn't be easier!
Simply peel and pit your avocados and place them in bowl with the lemon and lime juices. Mash the avocados with a fork.
Fold in the rest of your ingredients!
This will be delicious if you serve it immediately, but I usually like to tightly cover it with clear wrap and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes before serving

Love guacamole, but I hate paying extra for it. Maybe I'll just have to make this recipe. 🙂 I hope you can stop on by and share this or any other recipe with us on Five Friday Finds!
