    Friday Photos

    by Mindi Cherry

It's been a while since I posted a picture of The Queen and I have just one question for you moms of daughters.

What the Hell am I supposed to do with her hair?

Don't get me wrong...I love the curls.  But they are always in her eyes and trying to get her to keep a clip in her hair is roughly as simple as nailing Jell-O to a wall!

Three bodies, one face.  Would it be too much to ask that at least ONE of my children look like me?  Prince #1 is having a ball playing with his first set of "little Legos".  Yes - I know he is 7 but he also has serious problems with change and refused to even consider anything but MegaBlocks for the past 5 years.  Now that he likes the little ones, he thinks the big ones are "stupid".  Prince #2 (AKA "the parrot") agrees with him and claims that they are "baby block".  So now I have to figure out what to do with the $4,000,000,000.86 of MegaBlocks in the basement while they fight over the $20 set.

Would you believe that this is AFTER I cleaned out my freezer?  (ok - Brad cleaned it out, but since it was my job, I'm taking credit for it)

    A few questions:

    1. The Carvel cake is from Brad's birthday 9 days ago...how the HELL do we still have half of it left?
    2. Unseen is 19 tubs of CoolWhip (I don't know - don't ask!).  Anyone have any suggestions?
    3. If a frozen Mojito tub is in the freezer and the neighbors don't know it's there, should I use the Waterford or a Wawa cup (and just pretend it's an Icee?)
    4. If a Target bag is full of chocolate, but not the right kind of chocolate, is it a sin to buy Reeses Peanut Butter Cups?

Baby girl barely lets me brush her hair. To put a "circle" in it is torture. no help from me there... Sorry.

Both my kids look like me. Look me up on facebook with my email address and friend me so you can see us. Ithink I just changed it so everyone cansearch for me by email address. I'll promise to poke & super poke you often.

[I still haven't figured out the whole Facebook thing, even though I'm on it. What exactly does the whole "poking thing" entail? - Mindi]

What about this for the coolwhip - or at least part of it??

Aren't mojito glasses long tall cylinders? I know you have a use-the proper-glass-thing.

My child - chocolate is never a sin. 😀

Oh - and the mega blocks... ebay.

[I'm going with Craig's List first for the MegaBlocks because...I'm cheap and Craig's is free!. Thanks for the Cool Whip links! - Mindi]

We had to cut bangs for Ari. Now that they're growing out it's okay because she'll keep a bow in now. A nurse told me that hair in their eyes can impair their vision when they're older.

[I'm still petrified to cut her hair. She'll be two in 2 weeks and has yet to have a real haircut. I don't want to lose the curls! - Mindi]

This photo of your daughter is adorable! My daughter's hair grows in a pattern that makes it all go forward into her eyes. Now she has bangs, but when she was smaller I piled it on the top of her head into a small rubber band. The phrase "nailing Jell-O to a wall" really makes me chuckle.

[I forget where I heard that phrase...I think it's the title of a blog that I found recently (but of course, forgot to bookmark) - Mindi]

Your daughter is adorable! I had curly hair like that when I was little. My mom would wet the brush and pull all of it on top of my head and let the curls come out of the top of the band. Doesn't sound cute the way I just described it but it was and it stayed out of my face. Good luck!

[It does sound cute! She just hates it when I try to put anything put her pink Little Mermaid hat on her head. Guess we'll just have to keep trying! -Mindi]

I think a WaWa cup is just fine for Mojito's - just make sure the kids don't get at it! Great for taking to the pool!! Shall I bring the tortilla chips and salsa?

Wish I could help you with the hair. My DD hates when I comb her hair - and I can't do hair anyway.

[slight problem...I tasted the Mohitos (I had made them for Prince #1 & 2's post-birthday-party-party, but stuck to beer the whole night) for the first time and they were sickening sweet. Luckily, NewMommyOnTheBlock liked them, so they are now her designated drink for the 4 nights/week that she is over with AngelSon playing - Mindi]

In reality, poking is just a press of the button. My brother insists it kind of flirting, but I don't think so...

The superpoke is even better. They have things that you can throw, things for the holiday's and such.

[it still sounds kind of dirty to me! - Mindi]
