So I've hinted at ExcitingNewProjectThatIsYetUnNamed.
I've got 500 million ideas swimming in my head and this morning I sat down to finally pull the trigger on it.
I downloaded Wordpress (.org, so I can customize...or more accurately PAY someone to customize...my template to my little heart's content).
I signed up with BlueHost for 1-year hosting.
And now I'm stuck. I can't upload anything because for some reason my computer has a deep aversion to Java (despite downloading/installing it 457 times in the last 2 hours) and so I can't use FTP (which I don't even know what that IS) to upload.
But I went with Wordpress.org because everything I read told me that, once I got it up and running, it is just as easy to use as the Wordpress.com Dashboard...just MUCH more customizable.
So to any of my bloggy friends who use Wordpress.org (HintHint Mr. Lady and Maria)....can you help?

Maria
Download Filezilla FTP Client. I don't know what that has to do with Java, but it's what I use to upload everything to my server.

Yes, you can use an application as Maria said to put your files on the host. (File Transfer Protocol: AKA: file putter/getter application). I'm also not sure what's causing Java to throw a fit. Some hosts have an web FTP that sometimes uses Java. Dunno.
Wordpress is so easy to get running and customize. I'm sure you'll like it. I love it. I have a few blogs that are hosted by dreamhost. They have a one-click install even so that I don't have to download the Wordpress.org application and upload it to the host. Maybe BlueHost has that? Would be easier than FTPing. And some FTP applications send passwords plain text.
I can't wait to see this exciting new project 🙂
