See - this is why I generally don't advocate happiness. Being annoyed can be much more fun (and certainly makes for more interesting blogging), but I feel the need for a major whine coming on. I know that my dear readers understand how selfish spoiled unreasonable stressed I can get and will cut me some slack.
Remember how I said that I still kind of like 80s music? To the point of being a complete loser who knows very little about current music? (if you don't know that I like 80s music, the WELCOME! I assume this is your first time here!). Most of you know by now that I love The Cure, Big Country, DePeche Mode, UB40, etc. But did you know that I also have a deep love of 80s metal bands? And that certain songs work on me better than Spanish Fly?
One of them is this one:

And guess who is playing just 25 short minutes from my house tomorrow night?
Along with these guys:

and these as well:

It's an 80s loser music lover's wet dream!
And unless Brad is planning the mother of all birthday presents ($250 for the tickets & babysitter at a minimum, in addition to my new camera) I can't go and I wanna!
Then again, perhaps this almost-39-year-old minivan-driving fat-ass mommy is too old for a Def Leppard concert.
Nah - fuck that!
Did I mention that I saw them in concert in January of '88 in Pittsburgh and it was one of the best concerts I ever saw? Even better than Paul McCartney and the Dead in 1990?
Excuse me while I go pout with copius amounts of beer

Say What?
Holy Crap! I will split the cost with you! When should I be there?
Styx and REO are two of my favorites and who doesn't love Def?????

Sweetie, I was so with you until you said Better than The Dead. Than, my mind started to get all fuzzy, and I thought I must be experiencing a bad flashback.
Happy Almost Birthday, you big hair obssessed rock-star!
Mindi
Ooops! I guess I just realized that my post reads as if my birthday is tomorrow...it's actually not until the 11th. It really should be a national holiday, doncha think!

ROCK ON!!!! One of the first tapes I ever had was Pyromania. And Def Leppard is a prominent fixture in my iPod. 80's hair metal RULZ. I'll even admit to liking Cinderella.
