    Quick Test of Motherhood

    by Mindi Cherry

    FacebookPinEmail

When your daughter wakes up from her nap with a 102.5 fever and a horrible croup-y cough, do you

    1. panic and rush her to the hospital?
    2. call every mom you know and ask them what should be done before rushing her to the doctor?
    3. rush her to the doctor and insist that she be seen at once?
    4. have the doctor paged every 5 minutes until he calls you back?
    5. call the doctor's office, ask the nurse to call you back because you need her to call in a prescription for an ear infection, then snap her picture and blog about it while waiting for the return call?

Can you tell that she is the 3rd child?

Oh - and is it horrible that I am now excited that I may be able to use my coupon from CVS for a $25 Gift Card with any new prescriptions?  We NEVER have prescriptions to be filled!

102.5 is a smidgen high, Min - but nothing to run to the ER about without direction from the doc or nurse. I think you did the right thing to call the nurse and wait for a return call. Can you get her to take any liquids? Maybe a quick sponge bath?

Such is the life of the, well I'd say 3rd child, but I think it's any but the first child. I sent out an email with pictures of my youngest in her Easter dress when she was one, sliding on the filthy slide on the church playground with a quiz on how you could tell she was the 2nd child. Only the parents with more than one got it. No one would let their first born mess up the Easter dress! Ha!
I hope your baby is feeling better quick. Thank Pete for antibiotics. And BONUS, now you have $25!

Bless her heart. She does look pissed. Hope she is feeling better soon.

      LOL @ 3rd child differences.

Around my area a lot of stores give the basic antibiotics free. But I guess a $25 gift card is an ok reason to pay for them.

Where DO you get all of these CVS coupons! lol
