I usually never post contests because the chances to win are always so remote. And I usually never post contests that require more than minimal effort...but this is Chef Duff of Ace of Cakes!

A & P Supermarkets has teamed up with Chef Duff and Blue Bunny Ice Cream to celebrate A&P's 150th Birthday. If you live in NY, PA, NJ or CT you can enter to win to be one of 50 people invited to the party.
Share your favorite birthday memory and you could be chosen as one of 50 winners to attend A&P’s birthday party with Chef Duff. And, at the party, we’ll announce one Grand Prize winner, who will win their own custom cake created by Chef Duff! Pretty sweet, huh?
Birthday memories may be submitted as a photo, an essay (500 words or less), or both. Entries will be judged based on creativity, inspiration and originality.

DUDE! I love Duff! I actually ordered a cake from there last year .. they ROCK, shhh don't tell any of my frugal friends.. because well the cost had 3 zeros not including cents. But they do some FANTASTIC work!

oh - believe me....I would LOVE to order one some day...and I know about the cost...it says right on their website that the minimum cost is with those 3 zeros ;-)! What kind of cake did you get? (one of the more traditional, or one of the shaped?)

I went to college with Duff. OMG you should have saw my reaction when I opened a magazine and i saw him there! He is a great guy!!

mine was traditional, but he did a poker table for a friends birthday a few years back - it had the cards, chips, and even cosmos. Amazing stuff!
