Cinnamon Bun Pops

Here’s something new to make on a stick! These Cinnamon Bun Pops are so cute and would be fun to make.

  • (2) ¼ ounce packages active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup water (110 degrees F)
  • 1 ½ cups buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 ¼ cups brown sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon

Orange Bunny Rolls

This a so cute and would make a fun Easter or springtime treat to bake! To make them you need:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 3/4 tsp ground cardamom or allspice
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, margarine, or shortening
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tblsp finely shredded orange peel or 1 tblsp finely shredded lime peel
  • 1/4 cup orange juice or 2 tblsp lime juice and 2 tblsp water

Banana Upside Down Muffins

These Banana Upside Down Muffins sound really different than the norm but really good! To make them you need:

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg

  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3 tbsp whole milk
  • 3 tbsp dark rum
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Apple Squash Cupcakes With Brown Sugar Frosting

Recipe: Apple Squash Cupcakes With Brown Sugar Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded peeled apples
  • 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar, plus 3/4 cup, divided
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
  • 1/2 cup butternut squash puree
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup white flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup nonfat buttermilk

Directions

  1. To prepare cupcakes: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 12 (1/2-cup) muffin cups with cupcake liners or coat with cooking spray.
  2. Combine shredded a in a bowl with 3 tablespoons brown sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Set aside. Beat butternut squash & the remaining 3/4 cup brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until well combined. Beat in eggs & vanilla.
  3. Whisk flours, baking soda, salt and the remaining 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  4. Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the batter, starting and ending with dry ingredients until just combined. Stir in the reserved apple mixture until just combined. Divide the batter among the prepared muffin cups. (The cups will be full.)
  5. Bake the cupcakes for 20 to 22 minutes
