Will You Be Shopping on Black Friday?

I've made no secret of the fact that, while I may be posting tons of deals and Black Friday ads on this site, I have absolutely no intention of leaving my house on Black Friday unless I need to go to Wawa for milk!

I am heading to my sister's house in Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon and coming home either late Thursday night or first thing Friday morning.  But regardless of when I come home, my sister and my mother will be getting up at the crack of OhMyGodItsEarly and heading to the stores to score some deals.

Me?  I'm doing most of my shopping this year in my pink fuzzy Hello Kitty slippers with my laptop!  You couldn't pay me to go near a mall or major store on Black Friday!

So how about you?  Will you be shopping on Black Friday?  Or are you sticking to online shopping this year?

Never did Black Friday shopping; never will do Black Friday shopping; and the last two years we have been doing online shopping for all the kids and family in one day preferably the Monday or Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Thank goodness for online shopping!!!

I might stop by Target before I go to work (I start at 6am), but that's it. I'm hoping to get nice deals on Cyber Monday.

No way!! People are crazy on black Friday. Not worth the couple dollars I may save. I agree with Linda - online shopping for me. 😉

I'm debating whether or not to go out. Do you know if Old Navy has its sales available online? I want to get some outerwear from there, so if it isn't then I would have to go to the store.

Heck, yeah! But, it is not as much as for the sales as the fact that my sister-in-law LOVES to shop and that is the only time of the year we actually get quality time to talk. We leave the kids with Gramma and head out for hours. I am exhausted when we get home and she is ready to head back out (of course, that might be the whole in-law thing. LOL!)

      Have a good one.

Probably not.....last year I shopped Black Friday early morning for the first time ever.....Target had a Dyson vacuum way on sale, so I braved the cold and crowds at 4 months pregnant to get my vacuum......it was worth it, but I don't see anything really worth doing that again for!

FYI, I posted this about Kohl's, but I'm sure it applies to other stores as well:

I was excited about some of the Kohl’s Black Friday ad deals on toys, so I today I thought to myself, “I’ll go look around and see if there’s anything worth coming back for on Friday.” Well, turns out the 40% off Fisher Price and other % off toy deals are already available without having to get up at the crack of dawn and fight the crowds! I think there’s a Kohl’s cash promotion on Black Friday morning, but I was completely content just to get the sales without the cash (and the crowds). Just an FYI…..just because they advertise it for Black Friday doesn’t mean the sale isn’t already available or is any better (I know this was the case with some Target products too)!

NOT ME. I noticed our walmart you can stop later that evening when the crowds are down and find most of what they have, atleast in the past we could. I am a "couponer/frugal shopper" all year round I look for a bargain everyday when I shop not just black friday.. JMO

I am so so so with you...I will not be at any stores or anywhere near them on Friday! I do have a quick trip to Walgreens planned for Thursday morning but my wags will be a ghost town!!!

I'll be looking at the insides of my eyelids on Friday morning! 🙂 Thanks to blogs like this, I've been stashing aside bargains all year. Last year's gifts were entirely paid by coupons and survey earnings, and this year will be the same. Now that's a happy holiday!

I've shopped Black Friday before and have hit all the big stores...Wal-Mart, Targer, Circuit City, Staples, Kohls. Lately, the deals are getting less and less and the hype is getting more and more. Unless you are one of the first 3 people in line for that great TV that the store only has 3 in stock, it really isn't a great deal. With online sites offering the same deals, I think I have shopped my last Black Friday.

Usually I don't, however WalMart has the gift my mom wants 1/2 off all day Friday, but I'm not sure if I'm going, I'm really debating this one! If I go it won't be during the morning crazy hours, or in the afternoon when everyone is cranky from having gotten up at 3AM to do their shopping, it would be in the late evening, and by then there's no telling if the item will still be there, soooooo I'm still debating... oh, heck probably not!

Look for it online. Seriously! If you have to pay shipping it's worth it in my opinion to avoid all of the crazies.

Hadn't thought of that, would I still get the Black Friday price?

I don't think I'm going to go shopping on Black Friday. It's not something that I typically do. Now, online shopping on Black Friday? OH baby.

AMAZON YOU BETTER HAVE SERVER POWER TO THE UMPTEENTH DEGREE! Hehehe.

I managed to complete a lot of my shopping last year with Amazon and plan to do the same again this year. It's hard to motivate myself to go out shopping when I can find all of the video games, etc that I have on a my Christmas shopping list for sale at the same price or lower than that of the local brick and mortar stores. Combine it with free shipping and it's a no brainer.

I'm with you, Mindi. No fighting the crowds for me. I tried it one year and didn't really score any great deals. Like many of these ladies have stated, if you shop deals all year long, generally there is no need to join the mobs on Black Friday. I do have relatives that really enjoy it for the social end of it - good for them!

Nah, I won't go out that morning at all! I may venture to Rite Aid sometime on Friday or Saturday, but Friday morning's for serious sleeping in 🙂

Nope. I'll be shopping from home. Walmart ships site to store for free, and I'll be taking advantage of a few sales online... why would I want to deal with all the crazies at 5 a.m. when I could be sleeping in?
