If you are looking for a fun treat for your 4th of July party or just something special to make with your kids (it's easy enough that they can help you), these 4th of July Rice Krispie Pops will look great on any table and can be thrown together fairly easily. They would look great on a table next to the Red White & Blue Trifle recipe that I posted last week!
You are going to make them with basically the same recipe as regular Rice Krispie Treats, but we are going to make them taller and in stages. This recipe will make 12 pops, but if you are making them for a large crowd, just triple the recipe and make them in a 9"x 13" pan and you should be able to get 36 pops out of them (or just use 3 bread pans, if you have them)
Don't skip the step of lining your pan with waxed paper. It will make the entire sheet of pops so easy to lift out of the pan, which allows you to cut them in to perfect rectangles!
