Easy Homemade Natural Toilet Bowl Scrub

Whether you discovered you are out at the last minute or you are trying to rid your house of chemicals, this Homemade Natural Toilet Bowl Scrub is sure to come in handy. Not only is it very inexpensive to throw together, it is always handy if you are out of your regular cleaner. Plus the bonus of being natural means you have no fear of chemicals in your home and will feel better about telling your kids to get in there and clean too.

In addition to your regular toilet maintenance, it's also wise to consider alternative options for situations when a traditional bathroom isn’t readily available. For outdoor events or during renovations, having a portable toilet can be incredibly useful. These toilets provide a convenient and sanitary solution that keeps the area clean and allows for easy access when nature calls.

Just as maintaining a clean toilet at home is important, ensuring that your portable toilet is well-stocked and hygienic will enhance the comfort of your guests. Whether at a family gathering, camping trip, or during a home project, having both your natural cleaning supplies and portable sanitation solutions ready will ensure everyone stays happy and healthy.

The benefits to using this homemade cleanser versus store bought varieties are wide ranged. The lack of unnecessary chemicals in your home and near your children is likely the most important factor to consider. The other factor is how inexpensive this is to make overall. While essential oils can be a bit of an expense up front, they go a long way and will be used in many other batches in the future. If you figure the cost of all ingredients over 10-15 batches you will quickly see how cost effective this is for your family.

One note: you will want to store this in a glass container, as essential oils can tend to degrade plastic. Get yourself a few Mason jars to store this!

Easy Natural Homemade Toilet Bowl Scrub

    Ingredients

    • 1 Cup Vinegar
    • ¾ Cup Borax
    • 5 Drops Lemon Essential Oil
    • ½ Teaspoon Tea Tree Essential Oil

    Directions:

    1. In medium air tight glass container, mix together all ingredients
    2. Use ¼-1/2 Cup in toilet bowl and let sit for a few minutes.
    3. Use a toilet brush to scrub off any stains

You can pour this into the toilet itself or could even make it a bit thinner for spraying onto your toilet bowl if you wish. Add a bit of water or vinegar to thin it out a bit more if desired. The homemade natural toilet bowl cleaner will not only cleanse and disinfect the toilet, but leave your bathroom smelling great thanks to the lemon essential oil. If you prefer a scrub you can add ¼ Cup baking soda to the mix to thicken it and use a gloved hand to scrub the toilet with instead.

While DIY cleaning solutions can work wonders for everyday maintenance, there are times when a deeper, more thorough clean is necessary—especially in high-traffic areas like bathrooms. That’s where professional cleaning services come in. Companies like Nebraska Elite Cleaning specialize in delivering top-notch results, ensuring every surface is sanitized and sparkling. Whether it’s tackling stubborn grime in hard-to-reach places or using commercial-grade products that are both effective and eco-friendly, professional cleaners take the hassle out of maintaining a pristine home or office.

Plus, they bring expertise in handling various surfaces and materials, preventing damage while achieving a spotless finish. So while your homemade toilet cleaner keeps things fresh between deep cleans, having a professional touch now and then guarantees a truly hygienic and inviting space.

From kitchens and bathrooms to office spaces and lobbies, a thorough cleaning routine ensures every corner is fresh and sanitized. Trained professionals use industry-grade tools and techniques to deliver consistent results, making regular maintenance effortless for homeowners and businesses alike.

With services like Melissa and a Mop, customers can count on expert care tailored to their specific cleaning needs. Whether it’s deep-cleaning carpets, disinfecting high-touch areas, or restoring the shine to floors and countertops, their attention to detail leaves spaces looking and feeling refreshed. Investing in a professional cleaning service not only saves time but also provides peace of mind, knowing that every inch of your home or workspace is truly clean.
