Need a fun and easy Valentines Day recipe? Try this hidden hearts pound cake with a delicious glaze. Your friends and family will wonder how you did it!
Here is another Valentines Day recipe that you can make for your family or friends - a Hidden Hearts pound cake! Everyone will be "wowed" when you cut in to it to reveal pink hearts baked right in to the cake and wonder how you did it!
The truth is? It's not that hard! I was concerned that the "regular" pound cake batter would seep in the cracks of the pink pound cake, but that wasn't a problem. Pound cake batter is so thick that it doesn't "seep" anywhere!
You will need to pick up a hearts cookie cutter to make this Hidden Hearts Pound cake, but you should be able to easily find it at AC Moore or Michael's right now!
Making it is easy, but it does require some extra time and you will have some leftover pink cake pieces and white batter. To minimize waste, just bake the rest of the batter in a small bread pan and freeze the cooked "extra pound cake" for later (or even use them to make cake balls)
