    I'm In Nashville Y'all!

    by Mindi Cherry

The view from my hotel room balcony - and this is INSIDE!

Update:  after getting snowed out of the airport, I'm on my way home today (Monday)!  Can't wait to get back to normal!

    That's right - I said "y'all".  I think it's a legal requirement for this state!

Right now I'm in Nashville at the Blissdom Conference hanging out with some AMAZING women, including some of your other favorite frugal bloggers.  The conference is all about learning to be a better blogger, providing the content that you want and need, and drinking copious amount of wine socializing with other bloggers.

I'm staying at the Opryland small city Hotel and, although every elevator seems to hate me and I had to walk 3 miles this morning to get a $3 bagel, this place is amazing!

I will return on Sunday night and will do my best to keep this site updated, but the only ad I was able to get before I left on Wednesday was the Acme ad.  That should go up at some point tomorrow and as for the rest of my regular weekly posts?  I'll either do the best I can getting them up in a timely basis, or hand you over to a fellow frugal blogger who ISN'T here for the week.

In the meantime, if you want to follow my every movement (and really - who doesn't?) you can follow me on Twitter.  Just be warned that Mindi + wine + a Blackberry + the UberTwitter app = danger/fun/hilarity/severe embarrassment!

And now - I have to schedule my wake-up call for tomorrow.  I can't decide if I want to be woken up by Wynona or Travis Tritt (shockingly, Def Leppard isn't an option!)

Hi Mindi, I found you through BlogFrog and your discussion/forum recently on 'introducing ourselves'....yes the Opryland Hotel is quite something, isn't it. Hopefully you'll return someday and see it during the winter holidays when it is all decorated (even more). It's breathtaking!

Please tell me more (when you have a minute) about this Bliss Conference PLUS how in the world do you find these things out? I need so much help to improve my blogging and I'm stumped.

      Thank you, new friend,
      Roz

PS...now that I've gotten past reading your most recent post, I can get to the meat of your frugal living tips!!!!

I'm from Tennessee, and yes it is a requirement to say "ya'll" . If you don't then it's a dead giveaway and someone will certainly ask you "You ain't from these parts? Are you?" Hope you enjoy the the Opryland Hotel and get a chance to check out the local music scene. Who knows, you might want to get your boot, scoot and boogie on at the Wild Horse Saloon. Have fun, and thanks for you blog. I'm a regular reader.

Hi, Mindi! For the last few months, I have been considering starting my own blog. Now that I know what fun y'all are having at these conferences, I definitely need to! jk Opryland Hotel is my absolute favorite place to stay and as Roz stated, you have to see it all decorated for the holidays. =)

So cool that you are there at the Opryland hotel right now, guess who was there last night. . . Sarah Palin, for the Tea Party Convention. I'm a big fan of hers, wish I was there to maybe get a glimpse of her. . . probably not possible but just the thought. Hope you have a great time, what a great weekend to be away, we got pounded with snow. They seemed to have cleaned up quite well here in the York area so maybe you will come home to the pretty stuff but not too much of a mess.
