I made this recipe for Mean Green Juice when I was doing my 10 Day Juice Fast in January and it continues to be my favorite juicing recipe!
I will tell you that, if you are not used to juicing, you should be careful with the amount of celery and cucumber that you use in the beginning. Both flavors can be very overwhelming. Try it with half the celery and maybe ½ the cucumber in the beginning. If the flavors are ok to you, add a little more celery and cucumber!
I could drink this every day and be very happy! I will often make a double or triple batch and drink all of it within a 24-hour period (or sometimes in an 8-hour timeframe!)
Mean Green Juice - Ingredients
- 6 kale leaves
- 4 stalks of celery
- 2 Granny Smith apples
- 1 cucumber
- ½ lemon, peeled
- small piece of ginger.
Instructions:
Process all items in your juicer, according to the manufacturers instructions.
If you don't have a juicer, I personally have and love the Breville Juice Fountain Multi-Speed 900-Watt Juicer and I have heard great things about almost all of the Breville juicers!
