    Blizzard of 2010: My thoughts

    by Mindi Cherry

(Sorry - just couldn't resist!  My brother-in-law posted this on his Facebook Wall and I couldn't stop laughing.  Then again, I am snowed in with only a few diapers left, no wine and 2 of my 3 kids have a bad cough.  I'm getting a little loopy!)

Wow, that snowman really says it all, doesn't he? I'm sure we're all officially sick of the snow. The roads are finally getting cleared up here, but pretty much everything is still closed. On the bright side, less than 40 days until Spring!

So funny! Good luck with those diapers, wine, and kids. I'm sort of in disbelief that I really still can't go anywhere.

All I can say is that I'm very thankful for my stockpile. After the big snowstorm last Friday, the roads were so terrible that delivery trucks couldn't make it to my local grocery store. When I went to the store on Monday to grab a few perishables before the next storm, the shelves were bare. It wasn't just the usual bread, milk, and toilet paper shortages, either. EVERYTHING was gone. Thanks to the stockpile, we've got food and essentials to ride out the poor road conditions, but I found the whole experience quite disturbing.
