Frankinsence Essential Oil is easily the number one stress reducing essential oil that you can use. It has an exotic aroma that works quite well to relax the nervous system. This is most helpful for when our bodies are in that "flight or fight" response.
Lavender Essential Oil has long been known for its calming and relaxing properties. Simply breathe in any of the essential blends that have lavender for a somewhat instant relaxation feeling.
You want to use Roman Chamomile Essential Oil for these blends as it is the variety that works on stress reduction. It has calming qualities and goes to work right away on bringing the nervous system down when overstimulated.
Vanilla has so many great uses and relaxation abilities is just one of them. The scent of vanilla tends to remind people of home, and scientifically is the closest scent to a mother's milk, which has long been shown to relax and calm babies.
Sandalwood Essential Oil has an uplifting scent and it also helps to restore calm to an overstimulated central nervous system. Neroli Essential Oil helps you to stay focused and not let your mind wander to what is making you so stress out - boy, it that needed from time to time!
