You can save a whole lot of money by making this copycat Starbucks Vanilla Bean Frappuccino at home! So easy to make and absolutely delicious!
We used to have a routine in our family - every Sunday on the way home from church we would stop at Wawa and get the kids milkshakes. It started years ago when we were attending a different church and it was basically a bribe to get our children to behave themselves (they really disliked going to church). We switched churches about 2 years ago to one that the children really like and I decided that they could still get milkshakes every Sunday, but I wasn't spending $12 between the 3 of them every Sunday.
Most people assume that the Starbucks Vanilla Bean Frappuccino contains coffee - but it doesn't (nor does the Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino). You can order them with a shot of coffee in them if you like (I believe they call that one the "Cafe Vanilla Frappuccino"), but the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino? No coffee!
This copycat Starbucks Vanilla Bean Frappuccino recipe is one that my children absolutely love for me to make them, and I can make them for just a fraction of the cost of buying milkshakes at the store! It's even a little bit cheaper because we use my homemade whipped cream instead of the more expensive store-bought whipped cream!
To make it, you will need:
- 1 cup ice
- 1 ½ cups vanilla bean ice cream
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- dash of vanilla
- whipped cream (optional)
