Essential oils are great to diffuse or blend with other oils to be used topically. Essential Oils can stimulate the body, relax the brain, and help every major bodily function. After a hard day though, you just want to relax and let go of the day's stresses. We talked about ways to start your day energized with essential oils, but what about when you need to wind down at the end of the day?
I personally use and endorse Young Living Essential Oils, but most of these oils can be found online or in your favorite health foods store!
Here are a few ways to relax tonight with these essential oil blends.
Calm and Relax Massage Oil Blends
There are many different combinations of massage oils you can create with essential oils. For each of these relaxation recipes, you want to add them to 15ml of your favorite carrier oil like coconut, jojoba, sweet almond, or grapeseed. Shake very well and then massage onto the body.
1st Blend
- Neroli Essential Oil: 4 Drops
- Lavender Essential Oil: 6 Drops
- Sandalwood Essential Oil: 3 Drops
2nd Blend
- Orange Essential Oil: 5 Drops
- Birch Essential Oil: 3 Drops
- Eucalyptus Essential Oil: 5 Drops
- Pine Essential Oil: 5 Drops
3rd Blend
- Orange Essential Oil: 4 Drops
- Neroli Essential oil: 3 Drops
- Chamomile: 2 Drops
- Cedarwood: 3 Drops
Relax With a Bath or Room Spray
On the nights when you aren't able to get a nice relaxing massage, try these blends in your diffuser. You can also make an air spritzer with these blends by adding them to a spray bottle (I love these bottles, but then again, I have a "thing" for blue glass) and filling it up with water. Mist the areas in your home where you need a little calm and peace - which just might be everywhere!
1st Blend
- Grapefruit Essential Oil: 6 Drops
- Lime Essential Oil: 6 Drops
- Ginger Essential Oil: 5 Drops
- Bergamot Essential Oil: 3 Drops
- Sandalwood Essential Oil: 2 Drops
2nd Blend
- Lavender Essential Oil: 6 Drops
- Chamomile Essential Oil: 4 Drops
- Neroli Essential Oil: 3 Drops
3rd Blend
- Lavender Essential Oil: 3 Drops
- Ylang Ylang Essential Oil: 3 Drops
- Chamomile Essential Oil: 3 Drops
- Orange Essential Oil: 2 Drops
Perfect for Diffusing
While you are diffusing a nice relaxing essential oil blend, draw a warm bath. Here are some great relaxing essential oil blends that are perfect to soak in.
1st Blend
- Lavender Essential Oil: 3 Drops
- Ylang Ylang Essential Oil: 2 Drops
- Chamomile Essential Oil: 2 Drops
2nd Blend
- Vanilla Essential Oil: 5 Drops
- Lavender Essential Oil: 5 Drops
- Orange Essential Oil: 5 Drops
- Ylang Ylang Essential Oil: 3 Drops
3rd Blend
- Ylang Ylang Essential Oil: 3 Drops
- Lavender Essential Oil: 3 Drops
- Grapefruit Essential Oil: 2 Drops
- Basil Essential Oil: 2 Drops
- Vanilla Essential Oil: 2 Drops
