    Welcome Channel 6 Viewers!

Thank you for stopping by! What you saw in my interview with Amy Buckman today is real:  I feed my family of 5 on only $50 per week and I am happy to teach you how to cut your grocery budget, find links to hot deals and keep your mailbox full of freebies....all at no charge to you (and with no registration required).

It is here you will find out how to get free toiletries at CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid and super-cheap groceries at the Philadelphia-area grocery stores as as well as many others

I do update this site anywhere from 4-15 times per day (depending on what deals are out there).  If you prefer to receive my updates via RSS Feed or email, simply use the Subscribe buttons in the right-hand column.

If you are new to using coupons, I recommend that you check out the links on this page.  These include many posts from my Coupon 101 series, my Feeding a Family on $50 Per Week Series and others.

If you want to take advantage of the freebies that I post, I strongly suggest that you read my Getting Freebies The Smart Way post before you start signing up for anything!

One thing that I am passionate about is using coupons in a completely ethical manner.  Please check out my Coupon Ethics series when you get a chance!

There are plenty of Printable Coupons to be found on this page and I will soon be offering the best printable coupons from RedPlum on this site.  Most Philadelphia-area supermarkets do accept Internet Printables (SuperFresh does not) and they are a great resource.

Once again, welcome to Moms Need To Know and thank you for stopping by.  Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have!

Way to go! It was a little too short. I would have loved to see more, but you did great! I'm sure that will inspire some more folks. You already help so many, including me. Thank you for your time and energy to help all of us!!

It was shorter than I thought...but I was like a deer in the headlights the entire time she was here...so that may have been all the tape they could have used 😉

        Thanks!

I loved the spot! While I agree with Jolene, I do think the spot was a bit too short I think it was well done. I only wish that the first few people to post on ABC's website weren't people quick to bash because they think stockpiling is greedy (they must love paying full price for stuff 🙂 ).

Oh - the comments on ABC's website are incredibly mild. I've heard much worse, so they don't bother me!

Some people just need to understand the whole concept of stockpiling. Yes, I had 15 boxes of pasta, but I bought that many because I got it for free and that quantity will (hopefully) hold me over until I can find the next great deal on pasta!

I saw your interview on the news and am enjoying your site. I plan on stopping by here a couple of times a day.

I am trying to get the free bakeware item, but they are asking for credit card information. How can I get this item without giving out that personal information?

      • Mindi Cherry

        June 11, 2009 at 6:57 am

The free bakeware does require a credit card for the shipping fee, but I have heard no complaints from people about their info being compromised. That site has been around for a while.

If you are still planning on doing that deal with the $1 shipping option, make sure that you write down the phone number to cancel the program that the $1 shipping enrolls you in...otherwise your credit card WILL be charged again (If you pick the $8 shipping, there is no need to call & cancel anything)

I saw your interview today and all I have to say is it's about time there is something for us Philadelphia Mom's. There are so many Mom Blogs featuring coupon sites, but I never recognize any of the stores. Thanks so much.
      I'll be subscribing.

Loved the news clip! I thought you did great. You and your daughter are so pretty! Great stockpile shots...I recognized many of the items from my own cabinets!

You should sticky this post to the top of your blog for new readers coming from the news segment, just to let them know they are in the right place and to welcome them. I love seeing your blog become more popular with more readers and comments, I love the sharing of info. Yours is on of my favorites and I visit every day for more great deals.
